Nick Blackman and the left hand side...

Something seriously wrong here, I genuinely feel sorry for him.

He looks like a new kid at school that's being left out by the gang, Warnock never even gave him a glance and only gave him the ball when there were no other options.....FFS its not Blackmans fault he is being played out of position, play him up top or don't play him.

5 supposed wingers at the club and only one of them is actually a winger!

Warnock had the whole left side to work with and not a single end product, maybe it was a game for Olsson but Clement knows best

This misnomer about him being a striker needs to stop - he played wide at Reading, and scored his goals from being out wide.

That said, you're absolutely right about him on the left. But it's not just him. Russell and Weimann have both been poor with Warnock behind them.

This isn't Warnock's fault. Under the cosh, backs to the wall job, I'd have him in there as a pure defender. But when we are at home, dominating possession, he simply doesn't have the attributes required to do the job.

When Blackman got the ball early enough last night, particularly first half, he beat the full back around four times with ease. But Warnock was too slow to give it him, or hoofed it no where, or just gave it Shackell. He can't run with it either to draw defenders to him.

Preston are the second team, after Brighton, to shift their whole defensive shape to our right handside, their left, and just concede the side of the pitch to us because they feel so unthreatened by allowing Warnock the freedom of the iPro. Yet again, it worked. (if you look on whoscored.com and their heat maps and position maps, you can confirm this is what happened).

he wants to stop trying to beat a man, he can't. He has decent touches, but has no ability to beat his man so needs to cut it out of his game immediately. I think this has been detrimental to the team. He needs to lift his head and seek a pass, or p*ss off back to Reading or wherever he came from.

Its not Warnock per-se, it's Clements tactic of not wanting to put the ball forward into 'risky' (by his definition) positions that might see possession change. I am pretty sure we will see the same thing from Olsson or Forsyth on his return.

Some might say well Christie is different on the other side but I dont think there is much difference other than Christie gets up and down the flank himself but doesnt really do a lot of forward passes to Ince, most are dilly dally taps to each other when they get to the edge of the area.

It must be very cold on our wings as both our so called wide men need to wear gloves mind you they contribute very little apart from appearing rather selfish with the ball and very predictable. We have no width because they don't use it, the poor full backs have to and Christie try's but hardly ever gets the ball at the right time and warnocks attacking days are long gone.

shape is needed, the right players in the right places.

This pretty much sums up my feelings on him, the moment he puts his head down and run's into the 1st defender nearly everytime, it's embarrassing. Yes he needs a chance upfront to truly be judged, but so far im not seeing the reason behind his purchase because on the left he is pish.

Who ever scouted Blackman and suggested as an option to improve us further severely needs to be questioned.

I still think I will reserve judgment fully until a new manager comes in and perhaps plays him in a way that suits his strengths.

He may turn out to be a good player, but he really wasn't what we need at the minute. Considering there were clearly wide of the mark suggestions for Benik Afobe, Dwight Gayle, Charlie Austin, Michail Antonio and Ross McCormack. it's like handing Lewis Hamilton a Ford Escort Cosworth and asking him to see if he can get a top 2 finish given his driving ability.

To say he was replaced by the other player we bought in the same window says much more about our scouting and positional choices than it does about them.

He played as a wide forward on the right for Reading, now hes on the left.

Warnock is a defender and will not help in any consistent way the attacks or attackers down the left. Until this changes, in either personal or tactics it is too early to judge.

You don't know where your punctuation keys are for a start.

Shut up mate not on here for a spelling lesson

Nothing to do with spelling. Your posts are tricky to make sense of if you don't use any punctuation. Start with the two keys to the right of the M. Just trying to be helpful not having a dig at your low literacy levels.
