bookies dont get it wrong

Most of the time the bookies get it right, and Paul Clement is favourite for the Rams job. I know the media have been saying possible Sunderland could snatch him away from our grasp, but if you check the latest they are linked and even with bookies to the current PSV coach Phillip Cocu. Does anybody think it wont be Paul Clement for us, and if so why ?

The odds on online bookmakers' sites for markets like 'next manager at xyz nondescript championship club' just reflect the wagers made. The book is so tiny that someone betting £20 will affect the odds.

If all Rams fan put 50p on Jose to be our next Manager, would this mean Chelsea fans could start a panic petition ?

You're right that it gives an indication, but it doesn't really mean anything. A candidate could be priced at 1/3, then come out and dismiss the rumours and fall off the bookies shortlist - at that time they were the most likely to get the job, though.

Too late. P.S bookies do get it wrong sometimes, we were a fav to sign Ross McCormack and that went well then.

They aren't stupid. And the fact that Jurgen Klopp is 25/1 for us, and was previously 14/1 for Brentford shows just how many people there are out there willing to piss their money away to the bookies and why they're all so wealthy.

Bookies don't make predictions. Newspapers and people do. People place bets, bookies change odds to protect their money.

That's the reason you don't get poor bookies. Not because they know stuff. They know when to make 10/1 become 1/10. It's when theyve got your money and don't want to risk giving you theirs.
