So funny....

United absolutely killed them......they were never in the game at all.

Terrible challenge by "the legend" totally deserved to get sent off, and as someone has said, if that had been Joey Barton doing it then the press and the FA would be all over it like a rash making sure he got a massive ban.....but because it's Stevie G, the legend then it is ok......after all he doesn't have a history of violence.....oh wait a second......

By the way...Skirtel should have been sent off too....the referee bottled that decision.

The picture of the United fan in the Kop is great.. ha ha

BRILLIANT: A Manchester United fan spotted in The Kop End today. http://t.co/N96ru1xRoc

His slip might have cost Liverpool the league but it's hardly bottling it is it? He slipped for goodness sake.

Cost England at the world cup? How did he do that then?

I don't like Gerrard at all but you're picking all the wrong things to criticise him about.

He was a great player in his day.....but his day was 15 years ago.... since then he has been an average player in a really crap team.......he never had the bottle to move to a real big club, he had the chance to go to Chelsea and he should have gone, but he plopped himself and took the easy way out, he must wake up every day of his life and regret that decision.

Even at his absolute peak, the best he has ever been he wasn't fit to lace Paul Scholes boots.

Hamann allowed Gerrard to move forward, to say Hamann inspired the win is harsh on Gerrard (who was given man of the match), to say Gerrard would over shadow was Hamann did. The real answer is both, without either performance they would not have won it.

He is a big game bottler. Has been the case even when he was in his prime. Lampard and scholes were better than him. Remember when he screwed it up against France? Or when he scored an own goal against chelsea? Everyone goes on about how he inspired liverpool against ac milan but it was Dietmar Hamann who changed the game for them.

You keep saying this but what's your point? Scholes is widely regarded as the best English midfielder of his generation. That's no criticism of Gerrard.

It would be like having a discussion about Bale and someone constantly saying that Ronaldo was better. Yeah, so what?

Bale isn't as good as Ronaldo either....

Gerrard is a bottler....he had the chance to move to a big club but completely crapped himself and decided to play it safe and stay at that rotten hole. Players like Fat Frank and Ashley Cole, you can slag them off all you like (and i LOVE slagging off Fat Frank) but at least they had the balls to take the big move and bite the bullet.....Gerrard will always regret it and always be a loser because of it.

Just looking at his stats...only scored 24 goals in 150 games for West Ham....then he signed for the best team in the country and incredbly enough scored more goals.....including a load of penaltys.

Was a youngster at West Ham, Chelsea didn't even win the Premier League till 4 seasons into his stay there and only won it 3 times in his 14 years at the club. 47 of his 147 goals were Penalties but as a Derby fan you should know they are not guaranteed goals, still got to stick them away.
