Pearl Ram
He must have been, a quote from Real Madrid on Sky Sports News says he was the greatest player of all time so when you think of who they've had on their books since it gives you an idea how good he was. Never seen any footage of him, might have to trawl the net and see what's available. RIP.
JohnHarkes
Never realised that he played for Colombia as well as Argentina and Spain - so good he played for three different countries!
eddie
Wonderful player. I'm old enough to remember seeing the 7-3 European Cup win over Eintracht Frankfurt in 1960 (the first one ever to be showed live on the telly in the UK - probably because the final was played at Hampden Park) - and both Di Stefano and Puskas were utterly unplayable. Dordogne_Ram
Saw him play for Spain at Wembley c 1961 or 62. Fabulous player. Bobby Smith (Spurs) was England no. 9 : should not have been on the same pitch.....
