Posted March 28, 201411 yr None of our players are good enough for the Premier League. If we went up we'd have to buy a whole new team and start again.
March 28, 201411 yr 'Praps we ought to have kept Clough...... If Clough was here we'd be midtable. We would have dropped a ton of points by parking the bus in every game after an hour. Bamford would be playing with the U21's. Wisdom would have been frozen out after Brum's equaliser at PP. We'd have a record something like W14 D8 L16 GD4 We'd be playing 442 survival mode since January. (Sit tight...)

If we'd have kept him we'd be losing late goals at places like Ipswich trying to hold on to draws.

Behave, bamford or wisdom wouldnt be here as he would be still saying no point in bringing in players if they arent better than what we got. We would however be in the semi final of the fa cup though ;-)

We would however be in the semi final of the fa cup though ;-) Not with Derby. We would have gone out 3-0 at home to a Champ/Div 1 club. But it would be fine as we'd be concentrating on consolidating in the league.

March 28, 201411 yr We aren't good enough to get 38 points...? We have many players that are good enough to survive. Let's stop being silly about wanting to replace our players in mass numbers for the unrealistic ambition of being a PL force. Name the players that wouldn't be good enough for a team that are looking for 17th in the PL and list why. And I must note I am referring to our starting line up and 7 subs on a match day when everyone is fit.
March 28, 201411 yr personally i dont think 'all' of our players are not prem class, i agree most are but there are a few wich may be able to make the cut - bryson, quite against ipswich, but he had a hulk on him the whole game and was linited after the yellow card, every player has a bad game every now and then - hughes, young, and still progressing, comfortable in this league and will most certainly move to the prem in a few years whether with derby or not - buxton, just a punt, he fought for a place after coming up 3 leagues from non league football to the championship and is imo our best defender, he'd relish the challenge of another step up and there are a few players like martin and dawkins who were shunned out of premier league football by their old clubs, i think they would be determined to show them they should be playing in the prem,
