StockholmRam
Im a bit confused. Can someone clarify, without going of on a tangent. Was Mike Phelan, ex Man Utd coach to Fergie, sitting in our stands last night with McLaren and wearing a DCFC coat? Surely not joined us. This would have been a major signing and huge news for the club.
blackNwhites
For all we know, he was just at the game as a VIP. Probably keeping himself fresh for whatever his next role in football will be.

It was probably for this to be honest. He was jotting stuff down I noted, would be a major coup for us though!. Surely he would get a management job at this level at least? ilkleyram
And not very surprising. He's out of work, wants to get back into football and our match was a clash of two teams who might go up into the PL. He's putting himself about a bit and probably knows both Steve and 'Arry. He was a TV expert on Sunday.
StockholmRam
He would be a great addition to our coaching staff I think.
Wolfie20
He would be a great addition to our coaching staff I think. I don't! He's unlikely to go anywhere other than as a No.2 so think I'll stick with Simmo if you don't mind

People might have said Steve McClaren wouldn't go anywhere as less than no.2, but he ended up at QPR as a coach.

So if Man Utds hugely experienced coach is offered a job at Derby, you wouldnt take him? Im not sure it matters. They would all be assistant coaches to Steve. tinman
I thought Phelan was bald? "BgI8n20IIAAO-4q" alt="BgI8n20IIAAO-4q"> It's Paul Winstanley, Performance analyst sat next to Steve Mac.
Kamikaze
Phelan was a few rows ahead of Winstanley and Mclaren in the stands think he was sitting near under 21 coach Southgate.
McClarensLads
Its Paul Winstanley, or as the players call him 'Prozone' as he does all the match analysis stuff. Prank video on him by Ward and other players. Funniest part of that video is the fact they called jamie ward a striker!
