McRamFan
@nottmtails: It is not as dramatic or bad as it might sound. Winding up orders are frequently used in this manner #nffc You lot are clueless. It starts with a Statutory demand, if the company ie forest fail that, then a winding up order is issued. https://www.gov.uk/statutory-demands A statutory demand can be used to ask for payment of a debt from an individual or company. When an individual or company gets a statutory demand, they have 21 days to either: settle the debt reach an agreement to pay If there’s no agreement, whoever issues the statutory demand can start: bankruptcy proceedings (against individuals who owe £750 or more) winding up a limited company that owes more than £750 https://www.gov.uk/wind-up-a-company-that-owes-you-money You can apply to the court to ‘wind up’ a company if it can’t pay its debts of more than £750. Your application to the court is known as a ‘winding up petition’. If successful, the company will be put into liquidation. You may not get all or any of the money you’re owed - a debt specialist (eg a solicitor) can help you work out the best way to recover a debt and send your petition. Before you petition the court You must be able to: prove the company owes more than £750 (to one or more creditors) prove the company can’t repay what they owe You can use a statutory demand to do this. This is a formal request for the debt to be paid. You can petition the court if the company: doesn’t respond to the statutory demand within 21 days breaks a written promise to pay the debt So it is not common place, it happens when the court has been satisified that the company ie forest cannot pay. basically the court has deemed that you do not have a fridge to piss in. Not being funny anorl, but obviously they've got a bit of cash seeing as it has been sorted. I do like having banter with them but this kind of thing is pretty common! uttoxram75
Robbed by my mate yeh lol Seriously, when will football clubs realise if they want decent support to charge decent prices. Forest took a good following to Birmingham a few weeks ago because it was £10 a ticket. We took 6,000 to Barnsley at £15 a pop. Forest taking 5,000 to Sheffield United, again at £10 (for ST holders). Its not fecking rocket science.

McRamFan
Not being funny anorl, but obviously they've got a bit of cash seeing as it has been sorted. I do like having banter with them but this kind of thing is pretty common! Its not common. For someone to petition for a WUP it costs them £300 - £800 to issue, PLUS £1,190 court deposit, and the filing fee, and then finally it has to satisfy the court that it is the right action. So it is a serious step to take. If the fans are not concerned about this, look what happened at Rangers, although WUP's in Scotland are a lot more powerful. TigerTedd
So what was the deal when they couldn't pay the wages. Apparently that was an admin error, wasn't it? But then this WUP is apparently something they could actually pay off just like that. So what? Another admin error. Come off it. As a great man once said. Fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice... won't get fooled again. No smoke without fire. The club is clearly run incredibly badly, and that will all end in years (of laughter for us) one day. What will we ever do without a proper rival?
