The demise of Forest

To be honest it is peferable to some of the other sponsors we have had:

Capital One - making money off the misery of people being in debt as well as being a horrible bullying company to work for.

Victor Chandler - make money off the misery of gambling addiction.

Good point fella!

How many of us would continue to support our clubs if Wonga was the sponsor? If a working class place like Newcastle have accepted it then i couldn't see Notts or Derby rebelling enough to stop it.

Maybe Liverpool and Everton would refuse to accept The Sun as main sponsors but other than that, as football fans, we're just not bothered.

I personally would stop going (if it was a payday loan company), but i know i'm in the minority. Nae fecker cares anymore.

No you ******* wouldn't. You'd hate it, and you'd moan about it, but you'd suck it up like the rest of us.

If they showed us in 1989 what football would be like in 25 years we'd all have ****** it off and done something else. But they didn't - they salami sliced millions of irritating pieces of **** onto it, until now we just accept it. **** really.

FTFA:

"...demonstrating a commitment to uniting public, private and voluntary organisations to do whatever it takes to get more people – particularly those aged 14-25 years – playing all forms of the grassroots game regularly."

In other words, gumps, it's because you need all the help you can get to get people to take an interest in football. Hardly surprising in a city where if one half of the crowd say 'shoot', the other half dive to the floor.
