The Wolves boss was said to be preparing a £750,000 swoop for Notts County's top scorer, who bagged 12 goals while on loan at Meadow Lane. A swap deal involving Leigh Griffiths had also been mooted which the League One outfit were understood to be cool on. But Jackett yesterday denied an immediate interest in McGregor with Championship side Derby County also believed to be monitoring the 20-year-old. "I'm aware of the player but he's not someone we've made a bid or an enquiry, nor are we about to," he said. The Magpies still retain a strong interest in McGregor whose loan deal expired last week. He was in the stands to watch the 2-1 win against Sheffield United at the weekend and even trained with the club ahead of that memorable victory.
