Neo
i bet it was...the last time i did it the guy directly in front of me had a "i am doing this in memory of our daughter" t shirt on, and the picture was of a teeny baby..... he stopped on the line and asked me to take a phot of him crossign the finish line with his phone, he had tears absolutley pouring down his face.....i am filling up now just typing this.. Classic mate for me this brings tear to this old heart of mine.

uttoxram75
Quick sprint through a Stoke estate, dodging drug dealers, out running Staffies and leaping burning cars is great exercise.....
Boycie
Stoke is a hot bed of athletes, well, you see everyone wearing shell suits and joggers etc when you drive through?
Phoenix
Quick sprint through a Stoke estate, dodging drug dealers, out running Staffies and leaping burning cars is great exercise..... I ran the Stoke marathon in 2000 in a heatwave, think it might have been the last one. It was rather as you have described for large parts of the course. Thermo in the car registered 32C. MuespachRam
I ran the stafford marathon once, with no socks, because i had to "use them" pre run in Macdonalds due to a lack of toilet paper.... the blisters on my feet looked almost as bad as the socks did as i watched them dissapear.....
