That's an unfair comment, but I'll let it go over my head as usual.

Jamie Hanson had a squad number last season, yet he doesn't at present...

Means jackshit.

A fully fit senior squad member not being given a number would indicate that they're not in the mangers plans anymore to be fair...

Tut, Nathan Tyson hasn't been "fully fit" since 2008.... to say "he should know he's not wanted here, he wasn't given a number" is disrespectful.

It's a fookin number, Conor Doyles been given one for the past three seasons and he doesn't seem to be in Cloughies plans. Only this season Clough as decided against giving Doyle one.

Like I said; Jamie Hanson hasn't got a number this season, so is that a Bananas of him being forced out? ofcourse it isn't.

But if you say so mate

But he was fit when pre season started was he not? He's fit now is he not?

Doyle's gotten at least a start a season since he's been here.

Jamie Hanson was only given a number towards the end of the season, when we had nothing play for and so he was given some bench time.

You need to play games to be fit; Tysons been playing/training with the Brady Bunch by the sounds of his interview.

How many players have had a dig at Nigel once leaving the club? Maguire, Tyson, Bywater, Robinson...

Bitterness maybe, but there's a pattern forming here. How many players have left the club and praised Nigel, other than Brayford?

Why was Tyson training with the kids anyway? Jewell did this with Savage and it ruined him (read his book).

"If you don't work it out when you don't get a squad number then you are struggling."

Did Shaun Barker have a squad number last season? Hmmm...

Barker was never going to play last season, but he's the sort of nice bloke who'd give Bucko his squad number for a season

A squad number is completely irrelevant to a players position within the side.

Jake Buxtons number 5 shirt from last season is now taken up by a player who more than likely wont kick a ball this season.

Adam Legzdins former number 13 jersey is now......Saul Deeneys. Does that mean Legzdins position within the squad is now in jeopardy?

Calum Ball isn't wanted this season, yet he has a number oddly enough.

Barker is scheduled top return this season, and to put him in the mindset of playing he's taken his number back

Legzdins was still given a squad number, because he's staying

Ball's still a DCFC player and will be for this season. Why would he not get a number?

Jamie Hanson had a squad number last season, yet he doesn't at present...

Hanson's a youth player who's never played for the first team and has always played for the reserves/u21's, not the same as someone who was a first team player and number 9.

I know who Jamie Hanson is, what's it matter if he's a reserve team player? Saul Deeney is hardly a first team member is he? Yet he's got a squad number.

Just for the record Kwane Thomas was given a squad number in 11/12, likewise with Ryan Connolly, Josh Lelan and James Severn.

Again, it means nothing if you have a squad number or not.

And Miles Addison, who considered his treatment by the club as "strange".  Whilst I can appreciate that sometimes players can be ****holes, it's not always down to them.  Clough has an odd habit of praising players to the hilt on arrival and then jettisoning them about 18 months later.

Come off it. It's common place in loads of football clubs for players to be frozen out.

He didn't get a squad number - neither did any of the other 7 who were on the transfer list.

Ledzgins has now been given a number - possibly because he realised that no one else wanted him and went to speak to Nigel about his situation. Wonder if Tysin thought about doing the same?

Nigel says he spoke to Tyson at the end of last season. Maybe indicated to him that he wasn't in plans for next season. Tysin may have come back and tried to show what he can do in preseason, but if nothing had changed in his mind then is there any need to speak to the player again? What's stopping Tyson going to ask?

How many players get dumped by a manager & praise him ?

Its raining - I blame Clough.

Quite alot actually.

How many players have come out and thanked Nigel for a opportunity at this level and gone on to say they enjoyed it here? Did Pringle? Martin? Cywka? Fielding? Porter?

Gareth Bale's move to Real dragged on and he was getting increasingly pissed with the whole ordeal, yet he still managed to praise the fans, the manager and the club as a whole for giving him a contract in the first place.

Did Jason Shackell say anything positive about Nigel and the club? He wasn't "dumped" was he?

Football is a ruthless business. Players are paid vast sums of money to perform to a standard commensurate with their reward. I don't know how many of you are employed in a seriously responsible capacity (50k +) but since when did this playground attitude of "being nice" come into play?

Is it something to do with the recent educational phase where it was declared there were to be no losers at sports day? Was it when all of a sudden exams became easy and just about every man and his dog was capable of GCSE grade C and above?

Reality is if you are paid the kind of money these guys are paid then you have to grow up pretty fast and realise what is expected of you. Specifically about Nathan Tyson, what stopped him asking to see Nigel and running through everything? The article says his Dad is his agent and that Sam Rush was in contact all the time. Come on.............. Nathans pride is hurt that's all. He should man up, grow up and get over it as should some of you.

Name some then - players in there 20's who are dumped & then say - "Actually he was a great manager & I'm just crap"

Gareth Bale's move to Real dragged on and he was getting increasingly pissed with the whole ordeal, yet he still managed to praise the fans, the manager and the club as a whole for giving him a contract in the first place.

? Can anyone see a difference between -

getting a dream move to Real Madrid for one of the richest contracts in history & getting dropped by a Championship club.

Finally, someone is realizing that there is a pattern. You ask most players in the champ if they would play for Derby and they would say yes because the stadium is nice and the fan base is good. Ask them if they would play for clough and the majority would say "no chance". Clough is not liked by players or other managers. This is why Derby rarely get players from other championship clubs because no one wants to deal with clough, hence why he has to shop in the lower leagues or abroad.

Seriously, he needs to go.

How do you know any of this? Seems a hell of a lot of assumption going on. Not liked by players and managers elsewhere? Why did Eustace come then? Forsyth? Grant? All from champ teams. Kind of suggests your theory is wrong.
