Will Hughes January transfer window 2013 rumours

Hughes will be an important player for a promotion push. If we get into the Prem, we'll get more than £10m coming into the club just from TV rights, nevermind the rest!

So what is more important? £10m of players, or Will Hughes? Lets say we spend £1m this summer on a left back that's as good as Brayford, and bring in a couple of other cheap players like we did last summer (Coutts/Jacobs). Do we really need £10m worth of improvments to the squad??

Yeah!

Another DECENT Keogh standard CB, a quality striker (who actually scores 20 goals a feckin season) and a CDM.

Bullshit can Wardy score 20 a season! And do you really think Barker will be the same player?! He's old, rusty and injury prone.

Ward has 6 goals and 5 assists in 10 or 11 games. Thats without getting a run of games, if he gets 40 game a season that 25 goals and 20 assists. We cant say he can or cant untill he gets that many games under his belt beacause only time will tell. Plus how do we know Barker wont be any good when he comes back, yes he is likely to be slow but he can make up for that with positional play Clough lengthened his contract so he obviously has faith in him.

Both Ward and Barker are injury prone.

Even when free from injury, Ward didnt score 20 goals or even 10.

To be fair he was played left midfield last season. The season before that when he was on loan we played him as a striker and he score 5 in 13.

You can't say guaranteed that ward won't get 20 plus goals a season.

His ratio up front proves he can

But his injury problems may lower that tally fair enough but you can't account for injuries as one injury could be a knock and next week he could tear his hamstring.

When ward wasn't injured ie last season he played out wide.

As for barker, who are you to say he cannot be as good as he was?? I agree in my opinion he won't come back stronger but loads of players have come back from serious injuries even 30 year olds. We are not medically trained well someone maybe then fair enough but how can we tell.

Also barker is not injury prone, that implies you have a reoccurring injury problem. Barker has just had two very unfortunate tackles in his derby career.
