Their mouths (and claws) have a bacteria (Pasteurella multocida) that causes nasty infections after a bite or scratch, though you must have a good immune system, most would have lost their leg by now!? On tablets for the last 30 years. Very very very painful and only funny if you haven't got it. Never ate rich food either. I get in in the ankle and knee rather than toe. Get it checked out.
