ramexpat
Lazy get Derby County can confirm that Jack Tuite, Cherry Orchard’s Republic of Ireland youth international defender, has agreed to join the Club. The arrival of Tuite is seen as further proof of the Board’s belief that continued investment into the Academy is key to the success of both the Academy and the Club as a whole. Academy Manager Darren Wassall said: “Jack has spent some time with us over the last few weeks and he is a player with real potential. “It’s a great fillip for Derby County as a whole that we’ve been able to attract Jack and I think the positive news stories over the last year or so have played a big part in that. “Players can see there’s a pathway to the first-team squad here at Derby County for youngsters within the Academy.”

cheron85
"Tuite’s arrival extends Derby’s relationship with Cherry Orchard, and he’s following in the footsteps of Ram’s players both past and present, with Don O’Riordan, Dave Langan, Mark O’Brien and Conor Sammon all having come through the ranks of the Dublin club." Does 5 players in 40 years count as a relationship? Especially when one of those came via 2 other teams...
randombc
Not too sure how old he is, says under 16's on the link above so i'd guess at 16? Looking at his facebook he seems a very slim lad, could maybe do with a couple of stone on him. Heard he's a left back.

Well, if you're being technical it's probably not considered a relationship when I follow girls home from work.

rsmini
Am I correct in thinking Cherry Orchard are the Irish club that has produced some top quality premier league players in the post. Have a feeling Robbie Keane started there ?
rsmini
Cherry Orchard Football Club is an Irish football club founded in 1957 known locally as "the Orchard." The club is one of the biggest producers of talent in Ireland. They are linked with Manchester City. Their main rival is Crumlin United, for whom Robbie Keane played at schoolboy level. The club plays at Le Fanu Park (known locally as "The Lawns") in Ballyfermot. The club currently has teams in the Dublin & District Schoolboy League and Leinster Senior League. Taken from Wikipedia though I did notice one player called Andy Reid!!
