Happy New Year David - and too everyone
How is it possible that so many of us are in high spirits even with 21 points deducted.
    Football is magic!

2021 hasn't been easy for a lot of people, even tougher for us Derby County fans that have had to endure and will continue to do so the sleepless nights with the unthinkable, the threat of our club facing possible liquidation.
I just wanted to wish you all a Happy New Year, without you, this community would not be here, the community that has allowed fans from not just around the country, but the world to come together and help each other through these difficult times and I'm sure will continue to do so through next year and beyond.
For any players, management, staff, anyone connected to the club that may also be reading this, Happy New Year to you also, I can only speak for myself, but I'm sure many others will agree, you are all making us so proud to be a Ram, we cannot ask anymore from you.
    Let's all go and smash 2022 ?

Football is a huge part of our lives and we all will have our own stories with what the game means to them and how it's a chapter in their own autobiography. I can't put into words how I would feel if there was no Derby County.
All the talk of a phoenix club, AFC Derby doesn't give me any comfort, I get the fairy tale of starting at the bottom and rising back but I would rather not see our history wiped and a footnote on some Wikipedia page in 50 years time.
This club has been a huge part of my own personal recovery which has been well documented on this forum already to repeat, when SRG text me with the news we went into administration I felt myself physically shaking inside and went white in the face apparently.
My missus would vouch for me when I say I did not see this coming.
It made no sense and I wish that feeling on no fans, not even Leeds or Forest.
The Bristol City fan coming on saying Lansdown isn't Mel Morris, he's an accountant, the guys losing almost half a million a week and has been for 10 years!
How on earth he has any idea of how close he is to pull the plug I don't know. Let's not forget Stephen Pearce is an accountant as well.
I honestly don't consider anyone out there that is enjoying watching our existence under threat as a real football fan, I mean a real fan that lives and breathes the game.
Banter is banter, laughing at relegation, a defeat, missed open goal, but this is beyond banter.
Unfortunately we're in a world where on social media people crave attention, being toxic, a shock jock in their own little show gains them that attention and it's part of the game now. Not a part I would ever have respect for.

Gut wrenching, that's a good expression.
I flipping love this club, and to see it in its present state is more than a shame, more than a blip, it's a disaster, and I sincerely hope no other clubs supporters have to go through this, even the clubs I despise.
New news is the first thing I look for in the morning, and the last thing I check at night, and I know it will be the same for many thousands of others.
To be a Derby fan isn't a choice we make, it's a calling, a sense of belonging to a tribe more powerful than we could ever be as individuals, yet a common thread that pulls us all together through rare good times, and much more common hard times.
That feeling you get, when you click through a turnstile, or tune into RamsTV or Sky, or switch on a radio, to share those next 90 minutes is the most powerful drug in the world, if we lose that I don't think I could ever rehab from it.

We're OK to share this - full minutes on Monday now..
    * There are 3 interested bidders that Quantuma are still negotiating with. Each bid is complicated and each is taking time for Quantuma to fully evaluate based on different elements in them.
    * Negotiations with HMRC have been extremely positive, but no deal is ever agreed with HMRC until the final proposal is on the table.
    * There are verbal agreements with Mel Morris and MSD Capital with regard to the ground.
    * Discussions with regard to transfers and contract extensions are being had, but no decisions will be made until the preferred bidder is announced to allow them to make their own decisions.

"Asked about the ongoing takeover at his pre-match press conference, Rooney said: "It is very encouraging. The administrators spoke to all the staff yesterday. There are three bids gone in from three separate groups. The preferred bidder should be announced by Christmas, is the message we all got told. That is very encouraging.
"Hopefully that's the case and whoever that preferred bidder is I can obviously have dialogue with and start planning and see what I can do in January."

We remember how your fans supported us through our darkest hours.
We now have our club back and we are on our way back, but your fans were brilliant at Bloomfield Road singing all the Oyston out songs with us. We had a mini riot during that game, a night match and later that season, we started boycotting games home and away.
Word is, our fans are 100% behind you during this hopefully short term blip in your great clubs situation.
    Good luck from the Seasiders!

Reenie reacted to Steve Bloomer's Washing in NEW PODCAST: 'Hoops Hoodoo'
Hi all - our latest podcast is out now:

Two excellent results against the best teams in the Championship give Derby fans a glimmer of hope... before QPR spoil the positivity party with a late winner at Pride Park, as that gap to safety just keeps getting bigger.
Chris, Tom and Anton sigh in disbelief at more points dropped from winning positions and kick themselves for having survival hope in the first place, as we also analyse the wonderful first team emergence of Liam Thompson into the Derby County midfield.
Wayne Rooney has also just marked a year in charge of Derby, so we take 'Your Shouts' on the boss's best and worst moments in his first 12 months in as Rams boss.

Reenie reacted to Steve Buckley’s Dog in Charlton Athletic and Ipswich Town to sue Derby County
Charlton Athletic are set to sue Derby County for £25 million after the ball burst in the 1946 FA Cup Final. If it hadn’t burst then we might have won or got some good players or something, said a Charlton spokesman. Meanwhile Ipswich Town also announced they were going to sue Derby County due to some reason or other. We might have won more games if they hadn’t beaten us in them, cited an Ipswich spokesman. It simply wasn’t fair that they had better players and scored more goals. We want £40 million and Martyn Waghorn back.
Meanwhile American fast food chain McDonalds announced that they were going to sue Derby County for fielding a player with their brand name. Flagrant breach of copyright, claimed a spokesman for the evil corporation.
In other news the EFL announced a further 9 points deduction for Derby County after the midlands side finished their 0-0 draw against Swansea with 5 full backs on the pitch. Everyone knows you should have two full backs, said a source close to Rick Parry. Derby ended the game with 5 players who full back could be considered their tecognised position. That is clearly too many. We checked the rules but couldn’t find anything specific about this so we all agreed that 3 points per extra full back sounded about right.

Meanwhile Wycombe have announced they aren’t going to sue Derby County for getting them relegated by buying Nick Blackman when they were two leagues below after they realised it was totally ridiculous and so far fetched as to be laughable.

*Has anything ever gone wrong with your football club? Not won enough points? Let in last minute winners to players who can’t even drive and park their car properly? Why not sue Derby County? Contact Gibson and Parry Solicitors for your claim form.
