  1. Be nice to get a 3-point meal ticket, so fingers crossed for Stoke at home… 🤞🏻
  2. Smith and Bradley really stepped up towards the end of the season when we needed them most. Nelson and Cash were great for the majority of the season, but I thought Bradley was a colossus over the last month. Similarly, Smith really came into his own around the same time as well. I love that we really carried no one this year. At different times in the season everyone has contributed something.
  3. Scoring one of the greatest Derby goals of all time in the process.... I have a fondness for the 4-0 win over Southampton in the PL under TBE. 0-0 with about 15 minutes left and then the floodgates opened. Eranio, Baiano, Wanchope and Carsley netting. The football we played in that spell was simply sublime.
  4. Fair play. I doubt anyone else has a lump of tarmac in their trophy cabinet to represent their greatest achievement.
  5. Even Pete's had enough of Rob.
  6. Ipswich and Norwich going one way, and Brum going the other please. Can't ever want Leeds to do well, and I have no issue seeing Birmingham in the sh**.
  7. I won't miss Round 1 of the FA Cup, and I won't miss the Ronald McDonald Cup or whatever the f*** it's calling itself now - playing against U21 teams was just insult added to injury.
  8. Great stat. When the pressure was mounting and the race for the autos was really heating up we conceded 4 goals across the last 11 games, and 2 of those were in the same game against the runaway champions. 2 goals conceded in the remaining 10 games in that spell. Bolton never really stood a chance when our defense was that imperious.
  9. Been nice to play some of the sides who've been stuck down there for years, who we used to play at a higher level. The likes of Oxford, Cambridge, Portsmouth. Just goes to show the strength in depth of our league system when you have the likes of them in the third tier. Also feel that we've definitely added to a decent league during our two-year stint - crowds of 30,000+ in the third division....doubt you see that too often anywhere else. The situation wasn't nice, given what it was and how we got there, but take all that away and it's been nice to be playing teams who we haven't played before/for a long time and not just the usual faces. That being said, thank f*** we're out of it. The officiating is even worse than we're used to.
  10. Oxford > Bolton > Barnsley >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Peterboro
  11. Sad but probably the prevailing view. This fanbase deserves the best league in the land.
  12. Wish people would stop saying this. Clearly, we belong in the top flight… 🤭
  13. Tbf he was probably on his way back to the VAR studio…
  14. Pompey, Derby and Bolton were clearly the best three sides in the division IMO (Peterborough are far too inconsistent), it's a shame that one of us has to go via the playoffs. I have a bit of a soft spot for Oxford so wouldn't mind seeing them come up, but I think of the four Bolton are most likely, and would be most deserving. TBH, of the four, anyone but Peterborough for me. Nothing against the fans, but Ferguson trying to play smart at the potential expense of Burton and Cambridge didn't impress me. Poetic justice that they didn't get the SF they wanted (Barnsley) and instead get a more in-form Oxford who recently battered them 5-0. Good luck against Barnsley mate 🙂
  15. Easy way around that, let's use them both!
  16. Bradley was closest IMO, but even then Ebou deserved it. When Carlisle were on top in the first half he was the one constantly breaking up their play. Even when we were the better side in the second half he was still doing it. He was absolutely immense and you could see how much it was gee'ing up the other players. Him not being here next season is nigh-on-unthinkable!
  17. Given how important our history is to us, and given our penchant for displaying that visually throughout the ground, this really needs licensing and putting somewhere: Honestly can't think of a better representation of the bond forged between the supporters and the players this season.
  18. If signing Adams was my #1 priority then re-signing Sibley, Thompson and Wildsmith wouldn’t be far behind. I’d also be looking at extending Nelson’s deal. Hourihane is a cert to leave, as well as Waggy and Gayle. Fornah and Fozzy likely too. Barks and Collins I’d look to retain as well.
  19. Think Louie might have been as well… 😂😂😂😂

  21. I've got no voice left! 😄 Amazing atmosphere. Amazing scenes. This one will live long in the memory. The early goal really steadied any nerves and even when Carlisle were on top and Bolton were 2-0 up the defense looked so solid that I don't think we were ever seriously tested. The second half was much better, and the combination of going 2-0 up and Bolton fluffing their lines, that last 20/25 minutes was a victory lap/procession. The scenes at full-time were life-long memories stuff. Over the past few weeks every single player has played their part. No passengers carried, and to a man they've turned up when we needed them. Today, there were so many candidates for MotM it almost seems unfair to single players out, but I thought Adams and Bradley were absolute monsters. They had so many corners/crosses and I don't think they actually won a single one! Every time a ball dropped to a Carlisle player on the edge of the box it was blocked every single time. Bradley, Nelson, Cash....immense. In midfield it looked like we'd cloned Adams, he was here, then there, then back over here....outstanding. And Max, great goal, put in a great shift and was named MotM, can't ask for more on his final appearance for the club. Also thought Korey Smith had a fantastic game for us, loved when there was a few minutes left and both Smith and Adams hunted down one of the Carlisle players and took the ball off him, both of them high-fiving each other after they'd done it. It just typified the spirit running through the entire team. What a brilliant f***ing day!
  22. I wanted him gone after the Stevenage game. Never have I been so thoroughly delighted to be proven so wrong. He was tasked with a singular objective, get us up, and he's done it. Scenes like those today.....they're the stuff of Derby folklore.
  23. Fingers crossed this will be my second. The first, was horrible. After Pearson scored, the remaining 30 minutes can be characterized as:
