  1. I’d rather us save the £££ and take our chances than give Sheff Wed a penny.
  2. That Bobby Robson chap wasn't too bad either....
  3. Still remember that summer of '96 fondly. After the bilge that Taylor dished up during his reign, Venables' attractive attacking football was a breath of fresh air. Who will ever forget Gazza making a complete c**t out of Colin Hendry? Who will ever forget the absolute destruction of the Netherlands? Made all the better for conceding that late goal to send the sweaties out...... 😆 RIP Tel, and thanks for the memories.
  4. Anyone got any idea when exactly I'll be able to visit this thread and not end up with tears streaming down my face? 😢 I'm so pleased that people got, and took the opportunity to pay such a wonderful tribute to Daniel. I think for those of us here, or those that met him at games, B4's been such a tower of positive strength, especially in the last 3/4 years when it's been needed most. I raised more than one or two in the young lad's honour last night. 🍺
  5. I'll probably hold the Laphroaig in reserve, that's one to be savoured. The other two will fulfill tonight's singular objective of getting completely w**kered! 😆
  6. Mrs and the kids are out. House to myself. Bottles of Laphroaig, Jose Cuervo and Jack Daniels in the house. Derby win. I'm looking forward to the evening...... 😎
  7. They're all a bunch of c**ts. Comes to something when the only one you're 100% sure of their position is f***ing Farage. And no, the only vote of mine he'll be getting is the one that'll end up with him having to scoff Kangaroo bollox.
  8. I try not to do anything by halves 🙂 Either way, if they can't consistently put in the effort, bye bye.
  9. Kind of hoping that we'd promote from within, especially if we could play some of the youngsters over the rest of the season. Of course that won't happen though, it's Warne.
  10. That was definitely the all-time low. As bad as things are at the moment at least we're not playing Kenny Burns in the starting XI.
  11. Getting in a striker that knows where the goal is, and understands the offside rule, is one thing, but unless they're Messi or Ronaldo and can create their own chances out of nothing then we've still got the issue of quality supply into them. Overhit crosses to Haaland are going to result in exactly the same outcome as overhit crosses to Collins.
  12. I'm looking forward to the summer when most of the mercenaries will be out of contract. A lot of this is down to how we went about recruitment in the immediate aftermath of the takeover. Granted, a lot of it was through sheer necessity to actually get a squad of players, ANY squad of players, but it's obviously less than ideal. The only fly in the ointment is the thought of giving Warne another window and a big rebuild. The players HE'S brought in are hardly setting things alight. I'm also not thrilled with the transition from the youth teams/academy into the first team. Last night was the perfect example, the chance to play two or three of them. At the very least the chance to bring some of them on in the second half, especially when we should have been trying to desperately chase the game. Instead we brought on Bradley. Comes to something when the best chance these younger players are going to get is to go out on loan rather than being able to force their way into the first team. I fully expect to lose Bird and Cashin during the January transfer window. F*** knows who we'll get in to replace them, but I'd wager it'll be older players on last paydays again.
  13. Embarrassing was when the cameras spotted their Keeper on a deck-chair reading a paper.
  14. I just mean that he should probably tell them to do the exact opposite of what he wants and he'll stand a better chance of actually getting what he wants.
  15. It's a good point - what the f*** would actually happen if this squad got promoted.....
  16. "Kick it in the goal, kick it in the goal, their goal not our goal, kick it in the goal".......
  17. It's all in the instructions. He should be telling them to cross the balls in too high, and to pick out their men in the box. Then our crosses would end up at the perfect height and would find our own players every time.
  18. The only concentration going on tonight was in the half time orange juice.
  19. If Mel's got boots on the ground still then it's the f****** least he could do to plant at least one of them up Warne's ar*e.
  20. Did he explain bringing on Bradley when we were 1-3 down and needing goals?
  21. Here’s the problem, we have a good number of players out of contract in the summer, but who trusts Warne with a major squad rebuild at this point? I don’t.
