No point in getting our knickers in a twist over this. Fact is, we'll never really know how good he would have been for us. Same with Delap. Maybe they both go on to be top players, that could be down to the coaching of a top two Premier League club, rather than some pre-determined career path we set them on. I wonder if we'd sold Mason Bennett and Lee Holmes shortly after their debuts, we'd also seen the same wailing and gnashing of teeth. If we'd got £2m (rising to £6m) for Bennett and Holmes, we would have done pretty well in retrospect. Not every promising 16 year old in the Championship is Jude Bellingham.

I don't see what all the fuss is here. Our business model is to use the academy, nurture players, and sell them. This is a great example. In fact its a perfect example, as we're getting money for a player who isn't in the first team squad, so it's not like we're losing an important player for our relegation scrap run in.
People saying he's the best 16-year-old in the country means nothing. It's hype. Callum Ball was the best 16-year-old in the country. So was Lee Holmes. So was Mason Bennett. It's all subjective and an unfair tag as players develop at different times. He might be awesome by the time he gets to 18, or he might be average. Fact is we need the money and there's money on offer, so we take it.
Why wouldn't he go to Liverpool? Are people genuinely saying we're a better club or that our youth set up is better than theirs?
It's a great move for the lad and I hope he does very well so we get a big sell-on fee in the future.

I doubt he's ready for the physicality of the Championship at such a young age, it doesn't matter how talented he is, it's a tough league for anyone so young.

It would be great to see him move to Liverpool and become the player he has the potential to be knowing our academy shaped him. It's testament to our academy that we're receiving seven figure sums for teenagers who haven't even started a first team game yet.
As much as I'd love to see him become the best player in the country at Derby, that just isn't ever going to happen unless we were also up there with the likes of Liverpool. Who could begrudge the kid a move like that anyway?

Instead of going round and round in circles and arguing every point can we not for once wish Kaide the best of luck in his career , hopefully in a few years time we are able to say we nurtured that boy at the start of his journey to be coming a top class player

He's 16... He might be one of the best 16 year olds in the country, but he isn't ready to be the saviour of Derby County and if you think we should be relying on a 16 year old to save us then we are in the poop.
Delap is doing well for a talented Man City U23 team, but I still wouldn't want him back at Derby right now as he needs to develop in the right age categories first. We've had some success promoting youth recently, but Sibley was the youngest of those and his bright spark has faded recently.
He wouldn't improve our current first team at this moment, I'm sure if he would then Rooney would've used him more than the 5 minutes against Birmingham when we had already demolished them.
In another reply you mentioned Mount, Wilson and Tomori. All 19 or older and all of them had had previous first team loans before coming to us. Kaide will possibly get to that level, but it's too much to ask of him right now. I won't be surprised to see him get some loans in for experience in a couple of seasons, but Liverpool won't sign him and loan him out as a 16 year old, that isn't their style. Their development squads are full of talent and they like to keep them in that setup until they're past the U18 level.

    You’ve solved the entire case!
Keogh went for a nap without telling anyone early in the evening. Just before midnight he was awoken. Confused and unaware of what was going on, Keogh sprung up in the backseats of Lawrence’s car (obviously without a seatbelt as he was sleeping in a previously stationary vehicle), startling the driver and temporarily paralysing him as the car hurtled towards the car in front. Lawrence panicked, thinking he had a zombie in the back of his car, fleeing the scene and dragging two of his teammates along with him. It was only when the adrenaline subsided he realised it was the team’s captain in his car. They returned to check on him soon after. Meanwhile, the first responder approached the recently awoken Keogh who still thought he was dreaming, was questioned for his name. He responded with his dreamworld name.

Bloody hell. What a mess. Spare a thought for Cocu. What must he be thinking? Bet he’s looking back at his time at Fenerbahçe as halcyon days.

30 pages of conjecture. People have become experts on misconduct proceedings, law, and clearly have access to the collision report as well as any internal fact finding the club conducted because there’s so much stated on here about what should and shouldn’t have happened.
it’s bound to happen as we know he’s been sacked and we have only a few “club statement” lines. Therefore as fans we want/need to discuss it but a lot of people are coming up with verdicts with less information than the club has and chastising the club for what has happened. Hopefully in 14 days time we will hear more and can take a better standpoint on the situation. Until then I’ll reserve judgement.

It’s like a conversation I had with my brother in law when the drink drive story came out. He called them a disgrace and that they should be sacked, he’s a spurs fan.  I asked him if Lloris was sacked? He laughed and said he was barely drunk and these two we next level drunk and are a lot worse. After the court hearing it transpires that neither of them blew near Lloris’s reading which was over twice the limit. Point is people judge from bits of information when they should wait for more facts.
