He absolutely lost me when he said we might not have as good a team as Oxford.
Not only are we derby effing county, we signed their head of recruitment. The absolute absurdity of that comment has annoyed me so much I've gone for another beer.
I WONDER WHO IS TO BLAME FOR THAT PAUL.
You can’t blame him for your need for a beverage

Any keeper
Rooney. Forsyth Cashin Elder
Smith. Tompson
Hourihane
NML. Collins. Waghorn
-
The thing I dislike about his interviews is when he starts going on about other teams and how they are good at this and that and how we might not be as good - it’s the third division, get a grip because it does nothing to improve optimism if we were ever promoted under him.
-
Waghorn is our best player isn’t he - and he is only here as a fluke

washington should have done better …
That’s his level I am afraid

Jason knight was a good player wasn’t he

You can’t just serve up three home performances like we have, it’s the third division for goodness sake

When Clinton Morrison says we look very poor with no pace anywhere on the pitch you know we look dreadful

That is every game so far that Bradley has been taken off right?
I could suggest a reason for that
-
I haven’t been able to get to the game tonight because I have managed to break my arm in two places, so I am missing more grief.
I will take this opportunity to ask - if we signed Bradley to score from set pieces then why don’t we play him as a centre forward? Because his defending is of a very low standard so far.
Also I thought Nelson was very poor when we always played against him in the championship and he is now reminding me just how poor - anyway Blackpool didn’t want to keep him which is noticeable as they are also in the third division with us.
I will repeat- if you play with 3 centre backs it’s because you are not good enough to play with two.

Oxford fans paying £16 at Pride Park tomorrow night. Good value, that.
They are grateful as well, they advise their own clubs to take note.
our fans will get stung away from home again this season as we are a big fish in their budgets. -

I thought he started average and got a lot worse. By the end he wasn't beating a man and his shots were travelling at 5 mph. How Barkhuizen lost his place to him in January when he was having the time of his life, I still have no idea.
It was at a time when Barkhauzen was doing and playing very decently, maybe just maybe the temporary manager had signed him from Everton with a promise to play him or we would have had to start paying more money to Everton, that’s just a guess on my part but things like that happen when dealing with premiership youngsters

This is not about Didzy replacements but who of players who have left us or are Derby fans perhaps would you like to see drop down a little and help us get back up there? Indeed are there any?
My main one would be Will HughesI know what you are saying but football has taken another turn against sentiment, when players like Henderson at Liverpool are stepping down from premiership football for a tax free holiday in Arabia for £700,000 per week it’s hard to see someone we like or want signing up for £4,000-£10,000 pre week taxed at 45% for the effort of 50 games a season where people kick you. For me I would have liked to see the youngsters we had all come together to see how they would have been as an adult team together but sadly that ship has passed.

Can / should Forsyth play LWB twice in 4 days?
We'll be paying good money to have Elder as our first choice LWB, so perhaps he'll be forgiven for Blackpool and be given the nod?
Forsyth shouldn’t have had to come on and play last Tuesday but unfortunately he is our best defender currently

Did well overall as a rotation option for Plymouth last season. 8 goals and 2 assists in just over 1300 minutes
Two of those goals don’t count as they were against us 🤭 if I remember correctly one was offside and the other rubbish defending and poor goal keeping

Post match yesterday was it me or was Paul Warne seemingly going through the motions of being “pleased”. It looked to me as if he was pretty ashamed and embarrassed about how he’s acted over the last week and his reaction was to be very coy over what should have been a great moment for him.
Maybe I’m reading too much into it.
Or maybe he’s looking to sell a few of them and replace them with ????

If we are wildly speculating then- in which case Collins has finally pulled his tripe out only because he's playing in the shop window and will inevitably return to his flaccid performances of last season 🤪
Could be said of Bird as well before the transfer window shuts 🤷♂️
-
Isn’t he on a reported £18,000 a week at Birmingham?
miles outside our budget - if we sold Bird and Cashin and brought him in,it would have me having flashbacks to Tommy Docherty -

This just goes to show that teams at all levels are finding it difficult to bring strikers in, like Warne alluded to a week or so ago.
Neither Osula or Dobbin are ready to start in top half League 1 teams let alone playing in the Prem
It highlights clubs with no money to spend due to previous high spending - but they can both run quick

I wonder if they and/or Luton could get tantalisingly close to 11 points this year... Sheffield United were almost on course to do it a few years ago but they found a few wins towards the end. We live in hope!
Yes there will be poor competition for that 11 points

Ok I have been out all day - what went wrong?

That won't have come as a surprise to the club though?
We'd already (supposedly) factored in payments for Bielik when setting the budget and the dispute about Jozwiak was already ongoing, so surely that would also have been taken into account.
We even 'got away' without paying the full amount due.
It would be a pretty big bloody oversight for this to have suddenly wiped our budget, and we wouldn't be that stupid, would we? Would we?
We can only pay the wages with what comes through the gate in simple terms and prices didn’t go up to the paying public.
Should we be patient? If so, how does it improve?

Very good point - we are not Improving are we? - we certainly don’t look like it
last season we had McGoldrick who had great skill and NML who attacked at will for 60 mins and knight who covered everywhere, this season we have NML moved inside to accommodate wing backs and defenders who can’t defend
