  1. Awful decision by Hourihane. Hard and low was needed.
  2. I didn't see anything there. I thought Hourihane dived.
  3. I think we're so unlucky here. Let's win it again.
  4. He seemed to have ages to finish. Brilliant.
  5. We're unlucky to still be level. Come on lads keep going.
  6. I took my kids to a cool park in town and didn't check my phone till sixty minutes in. Last time I did that it was Peterborough away. You're welcome.
  7. I wonder if there were two deflections - one taking it away from the goal and one back in. Not sure
  8. He had a rare off day at Oakwell last season too if I remember correctly.
  9. I like Sibley and want him to do well, but there aren't many formations where he gets in my starting 11. Maybe in a midfield 3 with Adams and Bird, but there is plenty of competition there with Fornah, Hourihane, Smith and Thompson. I liked him as a left wing back in the second half against Cheltenham. He gave the ball away a fair bit, but he was on the front front driving at the defence so I don't mind that. It's true that he doesn't really get an extended run in his best position which is number ten/inside left for me. However each time he does well and is given a start in the next game he fails to nail down his place. If I was picking a Derby team to play for my life he'd be a sub.
  10. ... but will we play in the middle of the park? I presume Adams is fit enough to start (especially with a week between matches) , so Bird and Hourihane will both play. Personally I may be tempted to start with Thompson/Fornah and bring on Hourihane later, but I'd be surprised if Warne does. To be fair we should be good enough to beet Shrewsbury whatever team we select. UTR
  11. I don't remember ever cheering an Exeter goal before - it's funny what this division does to you!
  12. I'm not very good at classical art, but I believe you are saying Macaulay Gillesphey is god.
  13. I'd rather have Barkhuizen in the middle than NML. Could we do a league 1 version of Mane, Salah and Firmino? CBT and NML as our furthest forward, with a number ten like Sibley or Bird. I'm not sure Barkhuizen would work in a deeper role.
  14. Hourihane will be gone in the summer then I'd give it to Cash.
  15. My favourite player just got favouriter. 😇
  16. Oh my god. What's this obsession with Forest Green? That's three players signed from their promotion team in the last year. What's wrong with Rotherham nowadays? 😇 He seems like just what we need. This window has gone better than I expected. If we get in a back up centre forward I'll be pretty happy.
  17. Money. I was fairly pro JCH at the start of the season, but not so much now. Collins has stepped up a level in McGoldrick's absence and deserves to be the main man for the rest of this season. I wouldn't mind JCH for a promotion push till June, but I'm not sure what would happen after. There's no sell on value in him and I don't think he would be any better than ordinary in the Championship. If he can get himself a good contract somewhere in League one then good luck to him, but I'd rather we spend any resources we have on someone younger with more future potential. We could do with one more CF in the club, but we can't be over spending even with promotion within our grasp.
  18. Another pretty mediocre performance rescued by two moments of high quality. We seemed to be playing a 5 0 5 formation with Hourihane just in front of the defence with Bird and Barkhuizen just behind the front three. OK I'm exaggerating a bit, but how many passes were there between Hourihane, Bird and Barkuizen in the first half? In my head about five - I'd have to watch the match again to find out, but life is too short for that! I thought Sibley and Wilson played pretty well in the circumstances - they were looking to go forward and commit the opposition. It failed fairly regularly, but at least they were asking questions. Much of the time there was no forward pass on due to our lack of movement, so they were forced into taking on their opposite number. They looked more natural as wing backs, but that obviously means Bradley is on the pitch. He didn't really worry me today, but I'm still not overly keen on a back three. I felt a bit sorry for CBT - the passes to him were not playing to his strengths as they were either too far ahead or just behind him. I hope it'll improve with familiarity, but our bypassing of the midfield means the chances of a good through-ball are lower. Our stupid fouls were driving me crackers. On nearly every occasion I could see what was going to happen before it did, so why can the players not realise? It constantly ruined the little rhythm we had, wasted time and gave Cheltenham chances to attack. At least we got three points.
  19. Well it's an open game, but on balance we're a bit lucky to be nil nil. Elder looks decent and Wilson and Thompson are busy. One good bit of skill/mistake could be the difference. Corey B-T for the win. COYR.
  20. I've never learned to ride a motorbike, so I wouldn't know. 😇
