  1. The bottom bit exploded when it wasn't meant to and the top bit has disappeared without a trace Unsurprisingly serial moron Elon and his dickhard fanbois are describing it as a great success 😂
  2. I saw the picture of him that his wife posted on twitter the other day. Poor guy looks like he doesn't have long left 😢 Might be worth a fiver on Fairytale of New York as the Xmas #1
  3. As if - it's always been this way. My 80 year old parents have spent their lives reading the Daily Express and they have been brainwashed just the same. When we have them over for dinner, they repeat all the same talking points from the front pages, but when I ask them to explain why they feel that way about a subject - they can't. The only difference between then and now is that the internet makes it easier for people to share their brainwashed opinions with strangers and find people who agree with them (sadly the trade-off is that they find just as many people who disagree with them and want to have a big argument about it 😂)
  4. Well, of course - you want to look cool when you die a horrible death because some deranged billionaire didn't want to listen to the science that says a human colony on Mars was an impossible fantasy
  5. Space Karen is probably just sore that he couldn't bribe his way out of it
  6. I don't think it's ridiculous to have safeguarding measures in place to ensure that wildlife and the planetary ecosystem is not adversely affected by what is effectively large scale engineering work The idea of super rich people and corporations thinking that they are above such things is one of the biggest problems the planet faces. It's sorted now, and that's a good thing.
  7. Yeah - we watched Season One of Undercover and thought it was OK. Enjoyed it enough to watch Season Two, but agree it got a bit ridiculous. Hence we haven't ever bothered watching Season Three (where the main Undercover cop and Ferry fortuitously end up working on a case together?!). Toyed with the idea of watching the Ferry film, but realised he wasn't that good a character. Didn't realise he now had his own series. I guess it must be a popular show in Holland to have spawned all of these spin-offs, sequels and prequels At the moment we're watching Wanted on Netflix (a kind of Thelma and Louise buddy/road movie about two women who get accidentally caught up in a bent cop/drug op gone bad). Same deal really - first season was decent, second season started to get a bit silly and now we're nearly at the end of season three (the final one thankfully) and you're like "oh what a surprise, these hapless women have yet AGAIN escaped from police custody due to some freakish turn of events". Always sad when good shows outstay their welcome
  8. You're right that I didn't mean to infer any of that, but point taken on the wording
  9. Can't work out of you're taking the mick or not - sexism?? But if the mention of zionism is the bit you think is anti-semitic then I should point out that it's her words not mine. In the Jewish Chronicle https://www.thejc.com/news/politics/police-must-understand-that-jews-do-count-says-braverman-4Q7armNPfrgXcW2P2VIv65
  10. All for balance! I think that's why the thread is not dissolving into the usual left vs right bickering - Starmer's cowardice on the issue is also indefensible Bearing in mind that he's a trained Human Rights lawyer - this video just about sums it up. I'll let everyone watch it and make up their own mind
  11. I hadn't appreciated that the outgoing home secretary's husband was a zionist. Probably a slight conflict of interest there...
  12. I guess because someone died, and clearly another person unintentionally caused that death, there have to be manslaughter charges? Hopefully it's dealt with quickly and sensitively, and the mitigating circumstances don't lead to a custodial sentence. I imagine that the Steeler's player responsible can't feel any worse than he already does 😔
  13. Except everyone looks at him and says Weren't you the guy who stuck your old chap in a pigs head?
  14. Global warming is getting serious lads. I just found the remains of a dead penguin in our street
  15. Damn - not the news I was expecting to read today. This place will never quite be the same again. I always used to enjoy when a newbie would have a go at his spelling and then skulk back under their rock when everyone put them straight. No one messed with our B4!
  16. Oh hello - would this surprise anyone? https://www.planetcritical.com/p/everybody-wants-gazas-gas
  17. The problem here is that the media are now addicted to polarising issues in order to survive. If they can create a "them and us" scenario and get both sides arguing like crazy about it, their ad counters spin like a money machine But, what I've observed on this issue is that actually, the majority of people have settled on a consensus that war is bad, killing is bad and that there ought to be a concerted effort from our governments to try and broker some peace. Not wave through the idea of the Israeli "defence" strategy continual indiscriminate killing of children, as somehow being a proportionate response. It's obvious in this thread. We are usually at each others throats over stuff but look at which posts are getting the most cheers and likes. There is no media incentive to report on the consensus. Depressing
  18. Spot on - anyone who wears a poppy and has a problem with someone who doesn't, is simply proving that they don't really understand what the poppy signifies
  19. So Tommy Robinson and his right wing thug mates have got involved in counter protests and are fighting with the police and chanting "England Til I Die" I can't work out what their angle is here - counter to what? The peaceful march is an anti-war one. So he's....pro war?
  20. What a world we live in where a headline like this will have him derided in certain quarters as being "woke"
  21. I really struggle to understand how anyone who is anti-war and wants to protest against yet another war being waged on foreign soil while western governments (and the military industrial complex) nod approvingly - would consider threatening violence against poppy sellers is in line with their belief system
  22. The story of x.com is quite interesting. He's paid a lot of money for the specific domain name twice, and seems obsessed with it yet incapable of realising that it really doesn't work as a domain name at all https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/X.com_(bank)
