Just seen this ( and couldn’t find any mention of it on here) I thought he came across well, aware of his start and initial performances but keen to show he was ever present in training all season and it was pointed out that he played most of the last 17 games.

So clearly now the ‘out’ argument is that with that budget it should have been easy and my 9yo could have managed us to promotion 🤪 A factor I haven’t seen mentioned is that we had about 4 players 20 months ago. It is always going to cost more to get what was required, firstly a team, then competitive then winning. Our squad was not huge, but I’m betting we signed twice as many in 20 months than any other team.

Probably an unpopular opinion but, I’d retain all of them (on the right terms) as long as the extra 5 plus are still brought in. Experience will be needed as well as a larger squad. We’ll be doing far more chasing the ball next year!

Played a few matches in a recreational team quite a few years back with about 5 ex Derby players, I was in awe and the striking/leaping/timing and awareness was incredible.

Possession stats alone over the last 3 matches clearly show this not to be the case.

Just no. Far too many have delusions of grandeur….we are where we are, with what we have because we deserve to be. The structure of the CBT deal shows we still haven’t got options. Bigger clubs than us spent longer in L1 with less constraints.

Does this imply that with the sale of Knight we might be close to breaking even this season/next accounting period? If that is the case then it is a phenomenal job by all at the club to be where we are in the table.
