  1. I got Fifa 16 and I am not sure I am missing something but I have won my first three games, 8-0, 4-0 & 8-1 (single player) and this is me occasionally still having to look at the controller before I know which button crosses or tackles!  I guess it gets harder - I am playing Ultimate team.

I have also found some challenges that seem to win me coins - loan a player, sign a player etc.

It is also a bit confusing that I have named my team Bridgford but the badge says Perth Glory and the club name appears to be Stutggart FC.

Any newbie tips to get me started?

  2. This has probably been done before but it annoys me that supermarkets are always moving things around the store.  I believe it is because they want you to have to look for items so you see other items and purchase extra.

I can't help but think that if one of the 4 major supermarkets had an marketing campaign stating that they'll never move stuff around they would see profits soar.

Are you just going to ask 'what type of game is it?' to every major release? :D

I had Watchdogs on PS4 it was a massive disappointment. Its an open world game where you are a hacker. You can hack terminals, CCTV, etc to help you get passed enemies.

Probably, I find it a lot more useful to ask people rather than read reviews (which often can't be trusted).  I do appreciate your answers (and that I can be highly annoying ;))

Watchdogs 2 looks good to be fair, the first one suffered from being massively over hyped early on and then never ever lived up to it and turned into a pretty average game. Second definitely looks intriguing, might be a Christmas one for me though, looking at Mafia 3 first and foremost. As far as what game it is, it's an open world game involving hacking group. So you can hack into all sorts, like phones, traffic lights or security cameras and alter things to your advantage, also guns etc as you'd imagine. Not sure exactly what differences 2 has over 1, but having seen some of the trailers the whole world and story looks more interesting, and looks like they've implemented some form of parkour into it.

    Cheers @Srg

    My Xmas list for santa currently looks a bit like this;

FIFA (think I will get it rather than PES)

    Mafia 3

Then I am tempted by Watchdogs 2, Tropico 5 (I used to like them on the PC).

Just Ultimate Team, earn coins from playing games, winning cups. Use coins to buy packs of players or individual players in the transfer market. Players also lose fitness from playing and pick up injuries, can use coins to buy healing and fitness cards.

Can also change a players position say LM > LW.

Build a team and the better the chemistry the better the team, say your centre back pairing, you need them to be either at the same club, league or nationality. LB needs to link up with LM and CM.

Sounds good.  Thank you, is Ultimate Team online play or offline?

Ultimate team is grating on me this year already, seems like they've ramped up the injuries and need for fitness cards, couple games and the players are pretty much dead with the pace of a one legged granny without a crutch.

Guess they are trying to make you spend more coins on either new players or consumables. Played 8 games I think, 5 players out with injuries.

Suppose it's time to venture into the constant stream of games v Real or Barca.

Sorry for being the only person on here who doesn't understand FIFA but are you saying that you have to pay for players that you buy (indirectly with coins) and also pay to keep them fit?  Is that all forms of the game or just the Ultimate Team?

I never played the first Mafia game but completed and really enjoyed the second one, the setting was really good. Had a few niggles like the driving was a bit woolly and wasnt really much point to it but the on foot stuff was very good.

You have won me.  Is Mafia 2 available on the PS4 do you know?

Totally agree. "What this actress looks like now will blow your mind!" , "What she wore will blow your mind!" , "What happened next to this man when he caught a bus will blow your mind!".

The people that click on this stuff scare the bejeesus out of me. To have so few neurons is frightening and in actual fact they should be found and kept away from society.

The time when I become unable to sleep until I've seen what Kelly McGillis from Top Gun looks like 25 or so years on is the time to seek urgent psychiatric help.

  9. This must have been covered but just in case - I really hate the clickbait adds you get on all sites now with headlines like, 'She didn't know why the crowd were still cheering', 'The cameraman didn't expect to see that', '76 historical photos you won't believe' or 'Derby County close to signing...'

I am no expert in Google rankings but I am sure that these adds probably do more damage for the sites than benefit.

Freaky dreams that stain your mind for the rest of the day.

Last night I dreamed that I was on a train opposite a woman who kept smiling at me and producing small white  button mushrooms by squeezing the soft skin at the end of her nose.

I've been on edge all day.

    Work that one out, Sigmund.

I've been having vivid dreams the last couple of nights, possibly a side affect of some meds I am on.  On Sunday night I had one and I hid under my duvet.  41 years old, wife asleep next to me and I'm hiding from some baddy under my duvet.

Ignorant wankshafts that don't put the Next Customer wedge on the belt once they've loaded up their shopping!  Even worse if they watch you do it then don't thank you for it...  CU***!!!

I've had something worse than this.  I do the shopping for our family as I am every bit the modern man :)

I once had it that I was being served by the cashier but was still unloading my trolley.  The family behind me also started putting their items on the belt.  Obviously as the cashier was taking off my items to scan, the belt was automatically moving  and my available space was lessening.

  12. I've just thought of something that annoys me, the volume level on the TV.

Depending what we are watching we can have the volume as low as 20 or as high as 60 depending on how loud the TV channel decide to output the programme.  Surely it should work that you set a level of volume you need to comfortably hear the TV and that is the level of sound that comes out of the speakers?
