  1. I know I am old fashioned but I am not a fan of online play.

What are the single player modes like on FIFA and PES.  I used to like the PES one where you had to play games at various levels and had to win mini leagues to progress to the next level.

Differs a bit, but shouldn't feel too far off. What I love about PES is that skills & feints are 2nd rate tool. Simple, quick turns much more efficient. Overall i'd say PES is a lot more realistic. FIFA still has the coolest skin & music though

I always thought that FIFA was for kids.  PES was for adults.

For me its just facebook itself, its just a medium for people to post and tell everyone how wonderful their lives are etc etc, if they are that wonderful what do you need to try and convince everyone for?

I hate social media, pretty much the only social media i use is DCFCFans.

There is a woman at work who is particularly bad at this, forever posting 'look at me' type posts and what appear to be staged pictures of her kid obviously hungry for likes.  One particularly bad example was a post that was somehow a picture of their shadows but holding a leaf out and saying - Me and [kids name] are going to start appreciating nature and posting it's beauty every day.  Cringeworthy.  It was made better by the post that evening though showing here front garden flooded with an angry message.

    Never heard about 'nature' again.

Yeah the original LEGO Star Wars games were the peak. Talking has ruined them.

As for Until Dawn, I think I managed to kill half of them off :D

I will never understand why it is so hard to find your next level, it started with one of the Indiana Jones games years ago.  It was so simple with the Star Wars ones.

On Until Dawn only two of my characters survived.

Who's getting football manager 17?

I played a lot of FM14 (most I have played for years) albeit on one Club and International game.  I downloaded the FM16 demo and they had some nonsense where you had to design your manager and then decide whether he was a tracksuit / coaching manager or a suit manager.  I didn't get much further.

I think is more to do with a single person lifting your cases and stacking them than the actual collective weight!

    Health and Safety etc.

That makes sense (and makes me glad I didn't go into my full rant about bigger passengers).  Saying that, we normally share our 3 person allocation across 2 cases making them very heavy but within our overall allocation.

We have got away with it a few times through my cute child saying hello in the local language (on the way back) at the air hostesses.  Seemed to allow us through then.

crying shame its not on the one, would have had a go as i do enjoy a good decision based game. Have you tried the telltale walking dead game? Works the opposite way to your game, you care greatly for most the characters but not of the decisions choose seem to make a blind bit of difference.

I had the the telltale walking dead game on my PS3 but hardly played it (I think I got a lot of new games at the same time).  My PS3 is now in the cupboard and the games don't work on the PS4.

sorry for all the mistakes on that last post, was trying to type quick, on a phone, with fat fingers whilst sat on the bog at work.

I was hovering over the like button as I was reading that, then I read that you were on the bog and it felt dirty.

did u manage to warm to any of the characters in the end?

I watched the interviews with the cast (I unlocked it as bonus content) and that helped a bit, the characters look amazingly like their actors.  One of the actors is quite famous too (Ward in Marvel's Agents of Shield).  I guess I did warm to them a bit but not much...

Still worth trying on a PS4 though.  I will play the final chapter now as I am intrigued to see how it ends (or if I get any of the characters to the end!).  Apparently even the name of the chapters changes depending on decisions in the game.

  10. Update on Until Dawn - I have nearly finished it and quite a few of the characters have died either through my choices or on a few occasions through me not pressing required buttons quick enough.

It is a sinister, disturbing game but well worth a go.

Was really tempted by Fallout 4 but I'd have to say good by to the wife for a while just to get half way through it. Is Until Dawn zombie based, if so I may have to have a look. Got me a full blown zombie fetish.

No Zombies yet - and no hint of any - I think it is a game version of the American Horror Film thriller where kids are staying in an isolated lodge and something happens.

It is intriguing though, using the butterfly effect.  It seems that all your decisions affect how the game plays.  Also you seem to control all the characters for spells.  The games seems to be a mixture of decisions, finding stuff and pressing the right button quickly on demand.

The only small downside for me so far (and I am only very early in the game) is that the characters all seem unlikable.

If you like Zombies (I assume you are a fan of TWD) I think the Fallout 4 game engine would make the basis of a great Walking Dead game.

  12. Just finished Uncharted 4 in less than a fortnight (and less than 20 hours game play).  After 8 months playing Fallout 4 it was all over a bit quick.

Great game though and a fitting addition to the series.  Going to play Until Dawn now (after about 4 hours of updates).  After that I have still got 5 or 6 games I've not played yet on the PS4.

  13. This thread is going to be like therapy for me.  This one is happening to me now and while I am sure there is a scientific explanation it is still annoying.

When your mobile completely loses its battery sometimes takes ages of charging to get to a position where you can turn it back on.  Why?

Also, I now have a Samsung phone (it is a work phone and it seems silly to pay for my own phone) which is packed with apps that I don't want, will never use and cannot delete.  These apps take up the majority of the phones memory.

  14. I have recently found this thread and am working through it, nodding in agreement with many of the posts.  I haven't read everything but I wanted to add this as it really gets my goat.

I hate it when you are driving round a busy, full is car park only to spot a space before everyone else.  You rush to it to get there first only to find that there is a tiny car - Fiat 500 or Smart Car for example - tucked right into the space making it look empty.

  15. Finally 'finished' Fallout 4 last week.  I have been playing it exclusively since Christmas (at my age I can't cope with alternating between games' controls) and racked up about 14 days worth of playing time.

I have to say it was perhaps the best game I have ever played - it was my first Fallout game.

I am now playing Uncharted 4, having loved the previous 3 games.  Up to chapter 13 so far.
