  1. Think anything international gonna book literally a few days in advance, willing to pay a little more for flights if need be and I reckon prices for hotels will remain fair due to lower demand.

If needing to stick to GB may do a bit of an England road trip and catch up with family and friends I’ve been unable to see last year.

Time between step 3 and 4 may vary.

Haha yep. I'll start off with basic shares and then quickly move on to buying complex products which expose me to huge losses.

  3. Anyone got any turkey recommendations which aren't huge resorts? Preferably towns/villages where you can get your own house with pool, few bars nearby etc?

Went to Northern Cyprus a few years back which I really liked although I was sad to see some of the nicer more remote beaches were full of washed up plastic.

Went to Kalkan for the last 2 Summers but thought we'd try somewhere else this year. Just booked again for next Summer, a year without going is more than enough. If anyone is heading that way, Turkish Airlines now do direct flights from Gatwick to Dalaman at good times too. They were also flying from Stanstead, but with a partner airline. Will hopefully watch us play our first match in the Prem on TV there.

We were supposed to be going to Jordan and Israel this Summer. Managed to move the flights for free to next Easter so fingers crossed for that. Probably works out better at Easter as won't be so hot, and can fly to Aqaba in Jordan at Easter.

I've always wanted to go to Petra but imagined it would cost huge amounts of money. You could probably do it for a long weekend now and for a similar price as it you were going to visit a Western European city. Just hope Easyjet keep flying there.

Anyone got any good tips for Jordan, especially for getting transport to Petra/Wadi Rum/Elat border? Or for car hire in Israel at the border.

I've been to Israel once before and loved it. Going to Dead Sea, Massada, Jerusalem and Tiberias, before staying with friends for a few days. Great place to visit if you wanna go somewhere a bit different.

Jerash near Amman is good but not worth the drive from the south if you're flying to aqaba rather than Amman. I quite liked Amman too.

Petra was about £50 entry when I went a few years back(7/8 years?) so I assume it's more than that now. I think it was even more if you hadn't been in the country for so many hours prior to going in (in order to fleece cruise passengers and day trippers).

Didn't actually think you got much for the money in terms of guide to the site and the signage/info boards were quite basic so maybe make sure you've got some guidebook or something to make the experience a bit better.

That's not VAR's fault, it is the idiot that thought that if the ball touches the arm/hand then it is automatically handball. One of the worst rule changes ever.

Quite clearly the rules need to change.

The ref signals for play on for the foul but then the goal gets chalked off for handball.

Can't recall what the consensus on Gangs of London is...??

But I am definitely in the shamelessly enjoying it camp. 'Visceral' is a word only used in movie reviews...but its also the best word to describe the action scenes.

Not sure if the main character is supposed to be a slightly unlikely crime boss (he was very likeable in Black Mirror) and his teeth/accent are jarring..but those kind of minor things aside I guiltily love it. Its like a Guy Ritchie film with all the daft nicknames and annoying mockney-isms omitted.

Its probably the most outrageously violent thing I've seen on tv

Should retract this given his corner called the fight. At the time I thought it was Kenny Bayless. Fair play to them. Wilder too brave for his own good I reckon.

he wasn't fit to start the 6th imo

Oh goody, another game not available in Spain, Seriously questioning it's worth.

Lets hope it is on free to air Portuguese TV like last time. Improving my Portuguese anyway. Obrigado.

really odd that theyve bought the rights and not showing them

I think he's referring to the MarathonBet or Bet32 footage of Chinese Whispers where the players had to lip-read, where the "Martin Waghorn was a snip at five-million" happened.

    yeah that was pretty good.

i think the only comment that i would say is that it would be useful for some of us in the UK to have a video stream of the commentary. can put it on the TV and have live scores from the other games etc on the screen. i think MUTV do this.

dunno if there's enough content at all but generally an ongoing stream of highlights, old games, ramstv meets etc might be good - but i guess linear tv is so passe now.

Getting slightly annoyed at paying for Rams TV every month and not getting the games. 2 out of 3 games so far this season have not been available. Maybe it is just how it has fallen but starting to question the value of my monthly subscription

it is because spain now has an EFL broadcast deal.

Seems RamsTV cannot show Derby vs Hudds on Monday in Canada, but when I inquired to DAZN Canada who usually show Sky games in Canada, they said "Thanks for contacting DAZN Customer Support. We understand you are seeking information regarding available content and we'd be happy to assist. Due to rights and restrictions, DAZN Canada will not be streaming Derby County vs Huddersfield on August 5th. "

Thus can RamsTV re-assess and show the game in Canada?! I have no idea who is showing the game in Canada since it clearly isn't DAZN.

Any Rams fans in Canada have any insight?

The other EFL games seem to be shown in Canada. If DAZN have the rights and for some reason decide not to screen it, i'm not sure Derby can do anything about it.. i imagine it is just a scheduling issue and it will appear in the next few days.
