  1. Bardell involved in a strong challenge as soon as the 2nd half started, which resulted in him coming off. Only a head/neck injury so won't be out for long. DRobinson moved to RB with Hawkins on at CM. Osong now on for Moloney who had a quiet 65 minutes.
  2. JThompson Bardell Bartley KRobinson Gill DRobinson Fornah Allen Fapetu Moloney Weston Weston with 2, Allen and fapetu with the others. Bardell, Weston and Fapetu have assists
  3. Philosophy adaptation is discussed from 5 minutes onwards: https://www.dcfc.co.uk/news/2023/08/academy-catch-up-matt-hale As well as speaking about wanting a high intensity press starting with the forwards, here are a couple of quotes from Warne on how he like his teams to play: - "Our dream scenario is to get the ball wide and get crosses into the box" - "They won’t tire you out because [they] are not as fit as you."
  4. The point is goals aren't a measure of chances being created
  5. I remember when some Forest fans said our £1.1m rent was too low. They tend to think their stadium is better than ours too. But, £1m is too much for them and £250k is fair?
  6. Goals scored doesn't equate to chance creation though. Shots Shots per game: 12th xG (quality of chances created): 5th 6 yard box shots: 4th Penalty area shots: 6th Open play shots: 10th Key Passes Total key passes: 6th Open play key passes: 7th At least we lead the charts for chances created from crosses and corners.
  7. Barnsley - £4m loss last season with a wage bill of £9.3m (97% of revenue). They finished 10 points higher than us.
  8. Wrong. Clowes is a supporter and will be on the DCFC Board 😉 I'm sure many have chosen not to read the infomation provided by the club, but the headlines are: The initial view is to meet quarterly with the DCFC Board but I imagine the regularity could be adjusted in the future. The SB will have the power to veto against key changes - colours, badge, stadium, league, etc... They will mainly discuss accounts, diversity, sponsorship values, and corporate values.
  9. Their entire team has only scored 24 goals this season, and only got 2 goals in total from their other wing backs. He's also still only 21 and would be classed as a homegrown player in England. This is how he compares with all other wing backs in Serie A:
  10. 6 years as PL CEO, taking the role to ensure the PL seperated from the Football League, dollowed by 12 years as Liverpool CEO until 2009.
  11. Bear in mind the EFL allow recently relegated clubs to spend 75% of revenue on wages whilst all others are limited to 60% in League 1. It's perhaps a bit hypocritcal of them to be against it at a different level of the pyramid. There should be more control over what parachute payment can be spent on though - such as just the legacy contracts prior to relegation, which is what they were introduced for
  12. What is the £150m a year for? EFL clubs currently get somewhere between £230m (21/22) and £370m (18/19) heavily weighed in favour of the parachute clubs
  13. Why would he get sacked at this point? He'll get this season at least, unlesswe go on something like a 5 game losing streak. Even then, he'd probably be given time to turn results round in time for the playoffs.
  14. In summary, it became a bit of a mess in the 2nd half, with the fans and seemingly the players unsure of where everyone was meant to be?
  15. Rosenior with McGoldrick on the pitch: 6 goals scored, 3 against (274 mins played) Without: 3 goals scored, 6 goals against (536 mins played) It also took 5 games under Warne for McGoldrick to be fit enough to last at least an hour - we picked up just 7 points from those games. It's no coinicidence our good run under Warne then started when McGoldrick was up to speed and I have no doubt it would have been the same under any manager.
  16. We still had 23 shots across those 2 "poor" games as well. Another 15 against Charlton and 27(!!!) against Fleetwood.
  17. Wildsmith Wilson Nelson Cashin Sibley Adams Smith Barkhuizen Bird Mendez-Laing Gayle Subs: Evans, Bradley, Thompson, DRobinson, Fornah, Blackett-Taylor, Waghorn
  18. Because it was his first start since November? Because it was also his first start since November? I know 1 player was very unsettled at the start of the season. I get the impression Warne has his favourites. Anyone else is dropped quickly when one of his favourites is available again, despite how they may have been performing. I think it would be reasonable to understand a player being upset if they felt they were wrongfully dropped or not given a fair chance. We have Ward amd Fornah who are seemingly being frozen out of the squad. Thompson impressed in pre-season but was reluctantly put into midfield at the start of the season "because there wasn't anyone else", and appears to be back in the same situation now. Sibley still needs to make an impact in back to back games to stay in the team, and now isn't even fancied at LB over a CB. Barkhuizen likewise- only 1 start all month, despite scoring 4 and assisting 3 in 8 ganes when given a consistent run of starts in December and January.
  19. 🎶 Since I was young... I followed the... Set-Piece FC... The team for me 🎶
  20. 3412. Bird AM with Mendez-Laing floating either side of Gayle
  21. He did have money but it wasn't his money. Hence why he could prove the Quantuma and the EFL that he could afford to buy and run us, but the transfer got stopped when he tried to send the money over.
  22. He was typically the LCB in the back 3 of our 18/19 U18 side and it was his main position for a couple of years before that too.
