  1. I'm no doubt being far too ambitious with these suggestions, and I wouldn't be surprised if they're signed by some top division sides within the next year, however... Tashreeq Matthews - 23 year old winger playing fir Sirius in Sweden. Former Dortmund youth player who has 10 goals and 10 assists in 30 games this season Sebastian Nanasi - 21 year old winger playing for Malmo in Sweden. 11 goals and 7 assists in 29 games. Jeppe Okkels - 24 year old winger for Elsbord in Sweden. 11 goals and 6 assists in 30 games. 1 year left on his deal. Faris Moumbagna - 23 year old forward. 24 goals and 9 assists in 36 games for Bodo in Norway. Made his Cameroon debut last month. Alexander Lind - 21 year old CF playing for Silkeborg in Denmark. 10 goals and 3 assists in 19 games.
  2. @Rampant the red card footage you desire is here
  3. That's not quite fair. Criticism was for the style of play being poor and having very inconsistent results. The results have improved dramatically, whilst the quality of play isn't quite there over a full game yet. To be honest, i'm not sure we'll fix that until weHowever, I now believe we will have enough to get us over the line at the end of the season, especially if we add a couple of the missing ingredients in January. This is also the first time in close to 40 games where our 6 and 12 game rolling averages have been top 2 worthy. We spent close to 20 games showing only mid-table form! We need to maintain our current form over the rest of the season now.
  4. The camera feed was from Leyton Orient, so we had no control over which views could be shown
  5. I remember Bird putting in a lot of effort previously too. Was it last year?
  6. It's a tricky one as any permanent signing would have to fit in the intended formation next season - will Warne want to stick with wingers, or continue down the 3412 system he wanted to use this season? Either way, with the form Mendez-Laing is showing since moving to the left (6 goals and 3 assists in i games), I would rather focus on the right. Barkhuizen being backup on the left, and Wilson competing with the new signing on the right.
  7. Out of contract in the summer, but he probably has 1 more PL contract in him begore dropping down to the Championship. He's started 10 out of the last 12 league games, with 6 full 90s, so I wouldn't be surprised if he gets a new 2 or 3 year deal.
  8. I would still sign another winger. We currently only have Mendez-Laing, and Barkhuizen as natural wingers, with Sibley kept central
  9. You could argue it has evened out with the elbow on Wildsmith which went unpunished
  10. Looked like Collins was elbowed in the chest as the defender was backing up
  11. Shocked by that... Never expected a card, nevermind a red 😲
  12. That's a dirty challenge and worthy of a yellow Edit: led with his elbow so should have been red?
  13. Lovely footwork from Wilson. Felt Sibley should have played Bird in, but glad he didn't. Sibley once again showing why he should be given regualr starts at AM ⚽️
  14. 20 minutes and Bird is the only player on the pitch not to have touched the ball yet. Every Leyton Orient player has had at least 7 touches already. Hourihane, Mendez-Laing and Collins are out other players with less than 7. Edit: in thr time it took me to type that out, Bird is now up to 3.
  15. Leyton Orient really messed that up. Criminal that they didn't get a shot off
  16. Got to be 4 at the back Wildsmith Ward Nelson Cashin Forsyth Bird Hourihane Wilson Sibley Mendez-Laing Collins
  17. I picked Man City as they arguably have the best youth setup in the world right now. If they see value in giving 10 minutes to youth players every now and then, it seems bizarre that we don't see the value in it when in League 1. Not happy with the Man City example? Pick another club. Bottom of PL2 side, Blackburn? They do the same too.
  18. You can't expect every player to suddenly go from only U21 football to 90 minutes in the first team every week. The majority need to be slowly introduced and game time increased over a number of seasons, as long as they continue to develop. This is the standard blueprint used across most Cat 1 clubs. In their first season, it'll be a fee minutes at the end of league games and maybe a start in a cup. The following season, they may start the odd league game. The next, they'll be fringe first teamers or squad players. Then they'll be a regular starter, then hopefully a key player. Those odd minutes in that first season are their foundation to settling down as quickly as possible for when they are needed in the first team. Without that exposure in our team, they MUST be loaned out. However, there are a number of problems with that. The first is that without playing in men's football at out club, there is an increased risk in not finding a loaning club at the suitable level. The second major problem is that you're at the mercy of the loaning club to guve them the expected game time. There are also risks with managerial changes, style of play, position used, etc. If 10 miss here and there aren't important, you have to ask why managers give youth players those minutes. Guardiola is doing it this season woth Oscar Bobb, Cole Palmer last season, Foden before them, etc..
  19. That game under Wassall wasn't from playing youngsters. It was from bringing Thorne and Martin off and bringing Bent and Blackman on.
  20. Lindsay scored 2 after coming off the bench. Moloney scored the final goal
  21. Everton will pull well clear by the end of the season. Forest are only 4 points clear of Luton and 6 ahead of Burnley so it wouldn't take much for either to pull themselves out of it
  22. Notts scored from a penalty after 15 mins. Brown volleyed in on 32 mins. 2nd half just started.
  23. A mixed team. A few of the top U21 prospects, others needing minutes, and a few from the U18s. The U18s play tomorrow, with Perry, Allen and Wheeldon likely to feature in both games. Evans, JThompson, Bardell, Bartley, Cox, Johnson, DRobinson, Bates, Radcliffe, and Davidson not included. DRobinson likely to be included in the first team if Smith is injured, whilst Bartley and Cox could be in reserve if Nyambe misses out. Oduroh, Gibson-Hammond, Nunn and Oseni all out on loan.
  24. We play Luton or Swindon if we beat Man Utd in the Youth Cup.
