  1. The team should do exactly as you state and I'm sure they will but us fans can speculate surely?
  2. We had to win the battle first and the selection and aggression allowed us to succeed. Once the subs came on and we started to play, Stevenage couldn't match us.
  3. Purely my opinion of course but I don't think Brown is anywhere near ready for our first team.
  4. If injury was holding him back MCN I don't think he should have been on the pitch. He has been very lacklustre to say the least. I also thought he looks like a rabbit caught in the lights. Perhaps struggling with the expectation at DCFC.
  5. It is too early to judge but if it were me I'd be busting a gut to impress..... On that basis I'm more than slightly worried with the two brief appearances we've seen.
  6. Perhaps our local journalists will officially ask if there is any clause in the deal to purchase at the end of the loan?
  7. Worth a gander at the Exeter fans forum. Very complimentary generally with many saying we are the best they have seen this season.
  8. Todd was that good that school kids playing in the playground stopped wanting to be the goal scorer and started wanting to be Toddy. What a player he was.
  9. Exactly. Thats where we need a bit of quality and despite just about every player saying how talented the dressing room is we consistantly play in the last 10mins like we have no brain or talent by a big hoof up field straight to the opposition........Does my head in!
  10. The lack of excitement at the ground is primarily down to the standard of football being played. As a general point though im not sure our manager appreciates that for over 100 years the club has hardly spent any time down at this level and a large proportion of our match day fans can still remember top class football. Sorry for being a bit arrogant but perhaps Derby fans and certainly myself dont get excited by seeing us draw with the likes of Shrewsbury Town. I strive and expect the club to be challenging at least towards the top of the Championship and hopefully getting into the top tier. Sorry to sound "entitled" but imo we need an injection of arrogance on the pitch not lower league chat and bobble hats! Raise the standards for goodness sake! Yours Victor Meldrew
  11. Anyone know what's happening with him? Warne mentioned not wanting to play him at Charlton then possibly a niggle? I'm hoping for another NML. Must be physically fit if he's been playing regularly surely.
  12. Pretty sure it used to be that the hand had to play the ball not the ball playing the hand.
  13. I'm just trying to find out if you are enjoying the matches? If you would rather not say that's fine. I have no hidden agenda.
  14. So are you enjoying the matches this season generally or do you view the ends as always justifying the means?
  15. Yes, I'll give you that one. Should be higher than a 3 but overall performance not much higher for me. I find him pretty ineffective.
  16. Hi Tyler, what's your mindset to this season? I'm generally an upbeat kind of guy but I'm struggling with what I'm seeing on the pitch. How do you see it?
  17. Yes, completely agree. I'm not one for bashing the manager generally but I think it's becoming clear that PW has really only got lower league experience and success at that level by having the underdog mentality we are seeing now. We are not in control of games we are not retaining the ball as we should. Yes, we are second in the table in league 1 but my goodness, and here's the problem for me, our play is basically not very good and as a result not very enjoyable.
  18. To be honest I'm more concerned with retention of the ball by the players than retrieval of the ball by the kids.
  19. Looking at the game today I've basically come to the conclusion that despite my happy clapping we really aren't very good. The division is poor and in it we are better than most. The football however is boring and littered with poor control and poor passing. It's as much to do with the players as it is the manager. Oh well, we are where we are.
  20. To improve as a team we need to keep cooler under pressure and stop just clearing up field. It only gives away possession and the next wave starts. That's my view of how to stop the 20min onslaught.
  21. I think it's interesting that although in interview after the Lincoln game players were saying words to the effect that they had a frank exchange of views nothing really changed apart from they were worse at Reading. Also am I the only one that gets aggravated hearing players in pre-match interviews saying " we know what we've got in the dressing room" meaning they think they're good. Don't say it, show it......
