Madrid yesterday and managed to negotiate a late departure with the wife for my surprise birthday weekend away. Means I can watch Carlisle at home.

I have no idea what you are talking about here, absolute nonsense.
I was at the game, the atmosphere was amazing....where are you sitting????
SW but previous years I’ve been in the south so perhaps that’s why.
I’m old enough to remember 75, 86, 87, 96 and 07 though and just don’t feel this season has the same intensity somehow. Just my opinion, doesn’t mean I’m not loving it though. 😊

Anyone else feel like this is a weird promotion season? It’s like if we do go up, it’s because there are 22 teams worse than us, not because we are in the best two if that makes sense.
I sit here at the game and the atmosphere just feels a little ‘off’ somehow. It doesn’t compare with our previous seasons of success for me.

I don’t think Wycombe or their fans will be 100% tonight. Their season is over. And I don’t think they remain as focused as we do on the Morris/Couhig history. The only question is whether our fans will goad them from their torpidity…
Googles "torpidity" ....

That if you stepped on the cracks in the pavement (especially where the pavements were flags) bears would get you. To this day I still find myself subconsciously walking in the centre of pavement flags.
In Suffolk, if you stepped on a crack, you'd marry a rat. No bears round these parts.

When I was a kid, my Dad told me that the button on the end of the handbrake was the ejector seat.
When I repeated that informarion to him as a mid-teenager, he said ‘don’t be such an idiot, who told you that’. I replied ‘you did’. I believed him for years!
