Didn’t Warne turn down signing Alfie May because he didn’t think he’d be able to play in front of 25,000 people? 🤪 -

Anyone remember our 2-2 with Charlton back in the PL? we were denied an obvious pen and Sky Sports used a clip of Jim Smith saying in the post match interview ‘it was a penalty’ as part of their trailers for the sports channels for ages -
Where do you think we'll finish this season?
littleover ram replied to IslandExile's topic in Derby County Forum
Looking at the ‘big’ clubs who have gone down to this level, Leeds took 3 seasons, our friends down the road were 3 seasons, Sunderland 4, Sheff Wed 2, Man City 1…. Our problem is the longer we are down here we will lose our better players. Knight last year, Bird off after this year, Cashin will be next we really don’t want to have another year in league one. I think Warne should go if we don’t go up this year, even if it’s a play off final defeat -

Despite Scotland being favourites, this game will go down in history as typical arrogant England against a plucky Scotland side thrown together a week before the match, with an American captain. england rest their best players, the England coach goes on a whisky tour of Edinburgh for the afternoon and will look at the score that evening in his hotel to check how many try’s England won by. Typical arrogant English media report the score as 30-210 as they assume the videprinter is a misprint true Scot Van de Merwe never has to buy a pint for himself in Scotland again

why would Warne give minutes to a promising U21 player when we can sign a 34 year old on a short term deal?

Bolton 1-0 up -
In that interview Warne sounded like he’s shifting blame onto the players. “I’m not the one who gives a penalty away or misses a sitter in the last minute”. then has a pop about ‘the modern world’ making the buck stop with the manager… because managers never got sacked in the 1980s

It’s odd, we’re second top scorers in the league, joint fewest goals conceded, most away wins, in the automatic places yet it doesn’t feel like we’ve played well all season nor is there much optimism
