Ovis aries
By then we will have played most of our so called "hard" games.
Tombo
Well we'll have played everyone at least once by the New Year, as is always the case. That halfway point, 23 games, is an important time to take stock of where we are and what our chances are. Season starts after 23 games in my opinion. That's the point where you know roughly where you'll be, and if that spot you're in isn't good enough, you know what you've got to do to upset the odds. JAT
Can anyone remember what position Norwich and Watford were in at that stage last season? From that point it's when some teams start getting twitchy others start building momentum. Lets hope we've learned from last season!

After 29 games on 31.1 2015 , we where second on G/D to Bournemouth with 57pts Watford where 6th on 50pts , and Norwich 7th on 47pts , 10 points adrift of us . harryram
January is where you need to be very close to the top teams and it's the time were you really need to start pushing on.
Gritstone Ram
Some tough games coming up starting tonight. Boro and Burnley away in January. But there will be plenty of points to play for after them games.
Wolfie
Any two month spell will make or break your season - as it did with us last year. No point playing all the hard teams if we then go & drop points against the "easy" ones (Charlton & Leeds). Every game is equally important. I think the first 23 games are just as important if I'm honest, but then again I'm quite the traditionalist.
TheDeadlySaul
Watford only beat one of the top 6 last season and clinched promotion, so they aren't must win games.

Yeah but lose all the games to the hard teams and we WILL be playing catch up that's the point.

The fact that the defined timeframe is a bit over a quarter of the season would also seem to suggest that it could make or break it.
Bris Vegas
The hardest games of the season are those away games against the top 14 or so. So far, we've only played Birmingham, Blackburn and Reading away of those I'd consider tough. A lot of the mid-table clubs have decent home records, so there are plenty of tough games ahead. I think the fixture list has been kind to us so far. We've still got to go to Burnley, Brighton, Boro, Fulham, Cardiff, Ipswich, Brentford, Wolves, Sheffield Wednesday and QPR after Hull today. Some say Brighton have had easier fixtures... They've already played Reading, Fulham, Burnley, Sheff Wed and Wolves away and go to us in a couple of weeks too. Boro have played us, Reading, Hull, Cardiff, Wolves and Wednesday away too. It was the same last season, we had loads of tricky away games towads the end and couldn't get any momentum going because we didn't win any of them! Watford were 5th (29 points), Norwich were 10th (26 pts) behind us, top with 32 points. Interestingly (or not) Forest were 11th with 25 points. http://www.statto.com/football/stats/england/league-championship/2014-2015/table/2014-11-
