I was gonna post something sarcastic about it all helping when the FFP comes in and changes the face of football but I'm trying to be less miserable about stuff so I won't.

Big expensive monitors everywhere

Yay

I know this sounds ridiculous.. but maybe this is a very smart idea..

  • Charge **** loads for a space on the board
  • Charge **** loads for a space on LED
  • make exciting announcements, show highlights, get the crowds revved up
  • charge **** loads for a space on the in match scoreboard
  • Maybe put the score on it during the game so people who have just come to pride park to say get lunch, from the near by businesses, can see how we're doing,

the club are gonna do well from it, i feel it as a massive and really exciting new investment myself 'http://www.dcfcfans.co.uk/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' />

unless some yobbo nicks the ******* thhing 'http://www.dcfcfans.co.uk/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/tongue' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':P' />

you've nailed Glick's plan perfectly. he said it himself, these new boards/led adverts etc are all about more revenue streams for the club, should FFP actually kick in..

I think I still prefer the old BBG method where someone (maybe even Cloughie himself 'http://www.dcfcfans.co.uk/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=';)' /> ) would come along in the dead of night with a pot of whitewash and a brush and paint "Derby 4" on one gate and " 'http://www.dcfcfans.co.uk/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=';)' /> Forest 2" on the other after Gemmill's debut match. (stayed there for ages!)

Or even

"Why've I daubed this wall with paint?

Cos Longson's in and Cloughie ain't."

Of such things are lifelong memories made.

Still, such is progress, bring on the screen!
