ladyram
Who's watching the Road Race? Team GB dominating even though they aren't actually leading, pulling the breakaway groups back in. Couple more times round Box Hill and then back towards London. Go on lads, lets see if we can nick all 3 opening medals.
AndyinLiverpool
They seem to be in control all right but quite a lot can still happen. Keep at it, lads.

ladyram
It's going to be close, could be they've left it too late with too much time to make up. Could team tactics let them down at the last minute? Mmmm, close call.. Come on lads, ffs
ladyram
Knew it, they've left it too late. 55 seconds off the pace and they'll be back in London in about 20 minutes. And Chris Froome has just packed in. Team GB can kiss tata to any medal in this race. They're nowhere near. StaffsRam
Over a minute again now, and Froome's out. Very disappointing.
ladyram
They should done more to keep with the breakaway groups earlier on and they should have known nobody would help with the pace.
StaffsRam
WTF? How do we pull no time back at all after the lead group's dilly-dallying and the crash? In fact they've dropped time?! That can't be right surely.
StaffsRam
So much for the 'dreamteam'. Bitterly disappointing. Total tactics fail.

Alph
Thought that opening ceremony was great. All this fuss about 'will the world get it'..... So what? Pick up a book you ignorant fookers. And the American review? Zzzz Sorry their wasn't pictures and stuff to colour in. That would of been "like OMFG soooo cool". They could do it too if they had history. Was speaking to a mate earlier, his response to the Americans complaining that they didn't get much of it - "Good, that means we didn't dumb it down too much then....." - Priceless! Fowkesy
Great interview from Cav. What, like he even had the gall to blame other countries for his downfall? Great cyclist but just not tactically good enough [teamwise] on the day.Hopefully that's got our disappointing result out of the way early! . ladyram
Wahahahaha, just caught the mens gymnastics - good to see GB & America taking a pi55 on China & Japan. 'http://www.dcfcfans.co.uk/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':D' /> But, I've a feeling America will dominate. We have our medal chances though with only 1 sub-division left.

Great cyclist but just not tactically good enough [teamwise] on the day.Hopefully that's got our disappointing result out of the way early! . I can see what you mean. Cycling is normally about different teams working together to help keep the pace and break off for the sprints, but GB should have known that after last week's domination, they weren't going to get any favours from anybody. Think there was only 1 German who did anything to help but the vast majority were only too happy to let the Brit's do all the leg work. I was waiting for them to go to Plan B and start to motor instead but nowt happened. I hope they don't dwell on it and they can get their legs back for the time trials. I'm gutted. But, I reckon the team will use this as a learning curve and have a bit of a tactic talk.
