uttoxram75
Francois grenet and Ravanenlli take some beating for the money involved. Ravanelli is up there with the best, in 2001 he was on £42k per week. He was widely considered to be the highest paid player in England. Madness..............
Ambitious
Andy Carroll for me is the worst signing ever made, 35million on a 2million pound striker. the fee dictates he should be the best player that has ever played for England... think about that! Ramchope
Afonso Alves - Middlesbrough, Gareth Southgate (okay, maybe not a good/great manager) £12.7 million transfer for 10 goals in 50 games. Winston Bogarde - Chelsea, Gianluca Vialli (althought think the chairman actually conducted the deal) 9 appearences and around £10 million spent on wages. Asamoah Gyan - Sunderland, Steve Bruce £13 million for 35 appearences and 10 goals.

Leicester Ram
Dalglish - Downing, Carroll, Henderson. Ferguson - Kleberson, Djemba-Djemba. Wenger - Arshavin. Apart from the 2 years were Arshavin was one of the best players in the PL. Him at his best:

He's a decent player, but for the amount spent on him its got to go down as a blunder. Sessegnon and McClean make Sunderland worth watching!
