uttoxram75 Posted May 16, 2012 Share Posted May 16, 2012 When you get the urge and feel absolutely desperate for a smoke, wait for 5 minutes before you light one up............chances are the feeling has passed and you won't need one. The secret is not to see cigarettes as an emotional support, if you're feeling down or upset go for a quick walk round the block, taking a few deep breaths as you go....(it really does work, just don't forget to get dressed!!!!!) If this fails......speak to your GP about Zyban, it's helped a lot of people stop. I haven't ever smoked but for something like fifteen years I have put aside money worth a pack every day. That is actually how I afford to visit Derby and Pride Park and even shop at the club shop.
