That's Dav. I have a hard time when he's having steak, cos I can see the blood on the plate.

Gross.

If I was being pedantic I would point out it not blood on the plate. Thinking about it, I am pedantic, so I'll tell you. It's not blood.

Had to look it up and Sage is right, it isn't blood, it's a protein called myoglobin. Or juice.

I've just looked up myoglobin on Wikipedia. I think I would have preferred to think of it as blood! Yech!! I don't eat steak but I hate those ads on TV which show pink meat in the centre of joints. Just think of all the bacteria. How about CJD?

Bacteria only lies on the surface of fresh meat, and gets killed when you sear it. There is non in the pink bit, unless you leave it open for a while.

Burgers and chopped meat is a different kettle of fish, so to speak.

To all those who have there steak cooked over medium (no pinkness left) you have just took all flavour out and might as well eat a piece of charcoal, it will taste just the same!!! Sacrilege!!

My weird food combo is going to kfc and putting mayo in the bbq beans, pure laziness of not having to dip me chips in 2 different pots!! Sometimes do it with the gravy there as well.
