On that basis, what fee would you accept to fund other purchases for the following players. I expect to my attempts to price players will get hammered, but here goes. I'd be disappointed with 200k for OB too, he's still pretty young. In the current market for british players we could realistically expect more for the likes of Ward and Bryson.. The days of big money deals have gone for the time being. We get less for our players but pay less should we be in a position to buy other players. You'd get some add ons with Hendrick but he has had one season, Bailey is more 'proven'. OB has had 15-20 first team games and had been out for months. Mr Tibbs Posted April 11, 2012 Share Posted April 11, 2012 One very good season, still young (has he hit 20 yet?). He's got the potential to be a very good player, easily lower end PL. As for OB, he may not have had a full season to be worthy of a high price tag but after seeing him I think he's worth more to us than selling him for 200k. All he's going to be is a back up centre back on a very low wage compared to the rest of our team, I wouldn't sell him for 200k. We couldn't replace him for someone better for that cheap. Fielding £750,000 - 1m he is earning rave reviews outside of the championship, is young enough and english Brayford £750,000 - 750k if we sold him NOW - 1m - 1.2m if we wait for him to be fit, he's young was earning rave reviews as arguably the best attacking right back in the league and he's english. Roberts N/A Barker N/A Shackell £1.5m - spot on. (might squeeze 2m from someone like Norwich) O'Brien £200,000 -500k at least for his potential but only cos he hasnt played more - wouldn't sell unless it was stupid money Buxton N/A - 150k - he's still the right side of 30 and no matter what people say he HAS proven himself at championship level Green N/A - Bryson £750,000 - i think someone like David Moyes might come in with a 1.2 - 1.5m offer - he does like his energetic scotttish central midfielders. Hendrick £600,00 - not for sale for less than 1.5m plus another 1.5 in add ons Ward £600,000 - spot on but only cos he's not fully appreciated. Davies S £750,000 - better than 1 in 2 when fit, shouldn't go for less than 1m Robinson £500,000 - we wouldnt let him go for less than 1m surely - 23 with pace to burn and scores goals- Theo could become our most saleable asset. Clubs take gambles on fast strikers. Maguire £400,000 - spot on we wont push for any more than money back - I think we want him off the books. Tyson £100,000 - I don't want to say this but nathan hasn't done enough in my eyes to stay around next year. potential swap bait. 0 value Davies B £200,000 - 250k dont want him out but could be used as part ex for Pugh? Bailey £600,000 - 500k - I'd have pushed that higher earlier in the year - but he's lost favour a little bit. Ball £250,000 - no takers - too early. Bennett £1m+ - wont go anywhere for the less than 1.7m plus another 2m in add ons. Croft Free - Spot on Ledgzins £250,000 - spot on Naylor £200,000 - too early Addison - no fee - we'll offer him mutual termination i think. Will Hughes could add another 1.7m with 1.8 in add ons. My tin hat is on and I await your opinions. I reckon that's about 12-15m worth of saleable assets. Of course there's bugger all money going on trasnfers in the championship so we'd need to sell our top assets to the prem, or to the top spanish clubs ;-) it may be optimisitc in todays climate - but what I beleive is clear, we have more sellable players than at any point in the last 3-4 years.
