You can find some gems sometimes. Found this one for you, which includes a couple of ingredients I've never used before, like cashew nut & melon seeds paste and black cardomoms. DerbyshireFox
I made a pasta sauce tonight using the curry gravy method. Fried 6 medium onions with garlic for 5 minutes Added 2 tins of tomatoes, black pepper, salt, dried basil, Worcester sauce, a lot of lazy chili and simmered for 40 minutes Let it cool for a while and then hand blended it Arrabiata sauce Hail to the hand blender 'http://www.dcfcfans.co.uk/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':D' />

ladyram
This thread is very interesting. I like to cook, but never have the right ingredients. For a lot of curries, you'll find they have quite a few of the same ingredients - coriander, cumin - things which you only have to buy once every few months so you'll always have a stash of herb & spice jars in the cupboard. Then you only have to get the fresh stuff, garlic, onions, ginger.. if you need them. Having the basics in makes it loads easier.
