Asanovic
Are you really happy with Buxton or the young lad from Mansfield? Addison and Leacock will hopefully be on there way. I agree clough will think Jake is enough but if we lose Barker or Shackell for any period we will be up the creek. I guess we also have Brayford who can fill in there as well Or Green at right back, and Brayford through the middle
Buxtonram
Your right Clough is after a defender, full back cover He saud on radio Derby. But he will not be after a CH because in the same interview during the week he said he is happy with the FIVE centre halfs we have, first choice Shackell and Barker. Cover provided by OB, Naylor and Buxton. We have lost one of our cover centre halfs - it's not a tragedy. Is Leacock injured I would think he would have to be brought back now if Barker or Shackell get injured as it seems there is no money for quality cover unless they sell. Good luck to OB in his recovery, that is a nasty injury but the lad has come through worse.
Gary Teale
Or Green at right back, and Brayford through the middle Thats what I wrote at the bottom, Brayford can also cover there. There was 3 lines not that hard to miss
Buxtonram
Or Green at right back, and Brayford through the middle Will Green still be at the club after January. If a club comes in with an offer like Commons, then surely it will be taken as he will be free to move in the Summer for nothing.

CumbrianRam
Or Green at right back, and Brayford through the middle Please no, a big reason for our decline last season. Don't like the fact Buxton is now 3rd choice.
Asanovic
Please no, a big reason for our decline last season. Don't like the fact Buxton is now 3rd choice. I don't think that's a 'big' reason. Might not have helped us but that's a tad harsh. For what it's worth I'd have Buxton ahead of him in that position. DcFc Dyycheee
How on earth did Buxton become our 3rd choice centre half 'http://www.dcfcfans.co.uk/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />

Ambitious
GET RID!! How injury prone can a 19 year old be? first the heart thing, now this.. certainly not worth the time nor money to fix him! if no-one can tell, the above comment is a joke, may he get well and fighting fit, certainly one for the future!

randombc
So with O'Brien out, Shackell and Barker first choice this gives Buxton, Naylor or Chris Jones, hardly promising. As said above Brayford could cover, but it's seen what a big influence he is playing on the right, and I'd prefer Green in there compared to Ben Davies. Can't see leacock or addison playing again, they seem to clumsy for clough

uttoxram75
Going back to the OP....this quote from Clough would, I imagine, go down well with other youngsters at the club, "We will support him every step of the way in his rehabilitation work and Mark remains a big part of our future plans. davenportram
The medical team have done well getting Green fit as quickly as they have - didn't he have a worse injury damaging cruciate and medial ligaments? Confident OB will be okay.
