Subman
Just seen an advert on the telly for Quality Street tins at Tesco for £3.99, reduced from £10. These tins have been on sale for £5 for the last two months however last Weds they went up to £10 for ONE DAY and then down to £3.99. How can this be right for Tesco to say they have been reduced from £10? I have hated Tesco and not shopped there for 6 months now however that's another story. Rant over. Boycie
It's the law. I hate tesco too. Only because they sell solar panels. I understand how the corner shopkeepers feel now.

Ewe Ram
What about Sainsburys who give you a voucher for the difference if your shopping has cost you more than it would have done at another supermarket? Why don't they just reduce the price in the first place? I know the answer - it's so you'll go back again to spend your voucher. Do they think everyone is thick? mcsilks
Why do supermarkets in England charge you a £1 deposit for using their trolleys. It's quite simply one of the most ludicrous things I saw when I was visiting the country over the summer. The service industry in England is by far and away the worst I have seen in any country. MrsRam
It makes you take your trolley back, instead of just leaving it by your car. I've got a little round Derby County disc, the size of a pound coin that I use. When they first started doing it - I once just thought oh fek it, i'm not taking my trolley back so I left it and drove home, chuckling about how rebellious I'd been - till I realised I'd lost me quid. I mean, i'm not saying their like the ALDI Monsters. Just that I'd rather blast-her in ASDA than get fresh-yo in Tesco. And who'd wanna fiddle in LIDL? uttoxram75
In Uttoxeter we had a Farmers market, once a month. Its just been announced that its stopped due to lack of interest. Everyone goes to Tesco instead because its free parking. A councillor told me that they (the local council), we're not allowed to advertise or publicise the Farmers Market in case Tesco claimed it was unfair and a restraint on their trade. We couldn't offer free parking on market days for the same reason. Its one of the reasons that Central government has taken planning decisions away from the local councils, to make sure that the Tesco's of this world get their shops built wherever they want them.
