Cisse
But unlike many people with money, they give quite a lot away. Several years ago a friend was fundraising for a specially adapted wheelchair to enable a youngster to go to secondary school. She wrote to the Beckhams to ask for a signed shirt. Posh herself rang back, asked all about it, and offered the whole amount needed on condition that it never got in the press. Posh then rang a few months later to ask how the girl was getting on. I doubt if this is the only example. Ok, so they can afford it - there are a lot of people in positions to help but they don't do it,or only do it with press and tv cameras present! Many famous people give money to charities anonymously. And they do it a lot.
ladyram
Excuse me, I didn't call anyone a liar!! I was complaining that Muespach was inferring that I was lying by saying my post couldn't be true!! 'http://www.dcfcfans.co.uk/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/ohmy' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':o' /> Mind you, nothing will ever convince him that the Beckhams could possibly do anything right,so mine was a hopeless post from the start! 'http://www.dcfcfans.co.uk/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':D' /> I have never been unpleasant to anyone on a forum - so there! 'http://www.dcfcfans.co.uk/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/tongue' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':P' /> Take no notice of him Archram - he's the biggest WUM in history. Or, something else. Swiss - tell me, are your eyes green? MuespachRam
I object to the inference that I am lying. Would you care to explain the flaws in it! Flaws...? Erm...do you write to "the Beckhams" at "posh towers, LA" and it gets there? Posh wouldnt pick up a phone and actually RING someone, tthey have servants who do such menial tasks. And NO ONE in the whole wide world believes that the words "dont tell the press about this" would ever come out of either if their lips. And for the record, i didnt say that YOU were lying, just ANOTHER urban myth thatbyou have fallen for i am afraid.

ladyram
meant to add this to the post above but it wouldn't let me edit it Just to say that Archrams comments got me thinking about where I'd heard of their charity before so looked this up - and Victoria does say that they don't shout about it. The charity does (as the commentary says) focus on children with mobility problems. It's from about 1:15 into the clip. It's great work they do too. Although, I did have to giggle when David describes Victoria as fabulous and himself as full length. I bet he is!! ladyram
Oh - and by the way, I really hope none of your kids (if you have any) never have the need for any charity help because all you do is slate their names and the good work they do. I'm off now before I really tell you what I think of you - but since I don't want a ban, I won't, because you aren't worth a camels crap.

Where exactly in my post do I wish harm on your kids? Please, read it again - it says "I really hope none of your kids never have the need for charity help". NEVER being the operative word!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It's your interpretation that's saying otherwise - but there's a difference there somewhere.
MuespachRam
you shouldn't ever even mention someone's children and the need for charity in the same scentence...shame on you.
ladyram
you shouldn't ever even mention someone's children and the need for charity in the same scentence...shame on you. What I said was a hyperthetical scenario which could apply to anyone (including me) who has children and completely different to what you accused me of. I have 3 children. 4 if I include my eldest daughter who has now passed on. If charity could have helped her, I'd have jumped at the chance from anyone who could have offered it, regardless of whether they got paid for it or not! So please, don't ever accuse me of wishing harm on a child again because if you do, I'll gladly give you my address and invite you to come and stand in front of me and repeat it. Have a nice day. Leeds Ram
you shouldn't ever even mention someone's children and the need for charity in the same scentence...shame on you. what utter rubbish, i hope your kids never need charity from the government in case you go broke in the form of financial support. I mentioned it and as i used the word never it is quite clear that i don't want this to happen therefore by anyone who is normal or someone who doesn't mind losing an argument would say that is ok, instead of trying to divert attention away from the issue. ladyram
Just caught a bit of Becks' interview on RD - the bits I caught included he may buy a club in the States and that he'd really love to be included in next years Olympics for Team GB. Thoughts?
