Our young players are scarily untalented.

Cleverley looks massively out of his depth, ditto Oxlade-Chamberlain, Milner, Welbeck etc.

We look so uncomfortable in possession of a football and so weak in protecting it. This is nothing new - it's been the case for years. We need to start coaching players ball possession, passing and dribbling and stop this bloody obsession with zonal play.

We start every game like some understrength Sunday pub side who wants to keep the goal-count down, nervously passing across our 'banks of four'. Nobody picks the ball up and drives at the opposition any more. And if one of our players does break down the wing, his team-mates have so little faith in him that they've not bothered to get into a supporting position.

England's players should look nervously at the empty seats and will be jealous of the reception the athletes got. I haven't watched the end of an England game in years - it's too depressing. Where's my hair shirt. Pah!
