Derby-Dave
Clough odds on skybet slashed from 20/1 to 7/1 today. Personally cant see him going....
smiffy
Interesting slight on BBC tonight, they may get a DOF first and he/she will select the manager, someone they can work with, as this is the problem in the UK, the two parties arguing, and not pulling together. Perky1106
The Forest players want Billy Davies back. It's clear that this is Billy's horrible team and they had no respect for McLaren. Like Revie and Clough and Leeds. I bet the poison dwarf is currently the smuggest man in Britain (if he wasn't already).
ram2767
And he wants to go back, so I don't see why it won't happen...
MuespachRam
I hope he doesnt go back, he will turn them around in a few weeks. Much rather see Keane there, huffing and puffing and acheiving nothing.
ram2767
Nige is 4th favourite for the forest job now. The odds seem to change everytime I look at it.
Red_Dawn
Your comparing 3 clubs there that have had money to spend, fresh young squads and a chairman that will back their manager.. Norwich and Southampton off the field are lightyears ahead of Forest.. Especially Southampton, they've had a fabulous youth academy to back them up.. Not quite sure what Forest actually think of their situation.. They're hugely in debt to a person who no longer wants a financial part of it, they don't own their ground, they've not got a particularly outstanding academy to fall back on, they have an aging squad, their wages are out of proportion, they don't have the attendances to pull them out of it.. They're non-profitable.. Whose gonna want to take over that sinking ship? And with the FFP, they have no other option than to cut back first.. As for the manager, who would want to take them over.. You can't do anything with them without going backwards first.. Whoever goes there will have to cull their massive overflated wagebill by selling off their best players (who? they're all average) and it will take them 3 years or more just to be in a decent financial position like ourselves.. (Welcome to League 1/**** football/relegation battles Forest) So, they're in for a long haul.. Their only outlet is if they strike a miracle with a manager who gets their **** squad promoted within a season or two (Erm around 300 to 1).. Forest just aren't an attractive proposition for anyone.. If the likes of Coventry, Sheff Wed and Sheff Utd are struggling for a decent owner, why would Forest all of a sudden jump out.. They have no opportunities, nothing.. Adios Forest, look on in envy from the bewilderness, you had your moment (the last 2 seasons). Your ship has sailed. uttoxram75
Its not just "hilarious bias", Dawn. The fickle football fairy has finally fooked forest! Its football mate, you've had yer chance, bottled it twice in the play offs now you'll have a period in the descendency. The Rams however, are in the ascendency. MrsRam
NOTTINGHAM FOREST were last night on the brink of a dramatic takeover. A US/Chinese consortium fronted by an ex-England star is in advanced talks to buy the crisis club. Owner Nigel Doughty wants out after 12 years — with the managerless side 21st in the Championship — and a deal is said to be very close. The would-be buyers even have a top European coach already lined up to replace former England boss Steve McClaren, who resigned on Sunday after just 112 days at the helm. John Pemberton, Karl Robinson, Kevin MacDonald and Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink are also in the frame for the manager's job. It emerged that Peter Ridsdale offered on Sunday to become the new chairman, though it is understood the former Leeds supremo's surprise offer will be rejected. http://www.thesun.co...inese-sale.html
ramsbottom
Terry Westley! Are you f***ing sure about that! I was a little unsure so i'll hold my hands up, think my point still stands though. No need for the f**king abusive language though, what sort of a c**t starts swearing like a t**t in the middle of a f**king simple as f**k question??? As for this take over, A - It's in The Sun B - I prey to God it's Brian Robson and his dodgy mates from Dispatches, that would be perfect...
