Let's Talk al-Notts Rovers

Day

Recommended Posts

We'll just wait and see... I just don't see how any person would come into a championship football club and go on about spending tonnes of money when there is FFP around the corner, also, saw an article in a leeds newspaper about the guy a month or so ago, saying that he didn't have the financial backing he claimed.

but like I said we'll see.

At which point did he go on about spending tonnes? I don't know about all this talk and rumours of millions and millions proposed to be spent on the club as far as players and staff are concerned. A new stadium perhaps is possible or anything that is viable from a business prospective but I can say with some certainty that he would never come into the club and straight away fork over a tonne of money to push for promotion, any forest fan that thinks otherwise is deluding themselves.

I give it 2 years before you start playing 'take me out to the ball game'

From the above replies how did you come to the conclusion we are gullible and fell for it?

Was it "Personally I think it's a wum"

or maybe "HAHA, , i really hope that is true"

or was it "Please let that be real"

Because it clearly wasn't real! Merely implying that you hope it is suggests you think it might be!

Struggling to attract ex-players onto staff

Bircham snubs Director of football role

Bircham, who made over 150 appearances for the club during his playing days, was reportedly wanted by Forest who are on the brink of a takeover by the Al-Hasawi family.

Former R's chairman Gianni Paladini is thought to have recommended the 34-year-old for the role at the City Ground in his capacity as an advisor to the Championship club's likely investors.

However, the lifelong Rangers fan has no intention of accepting the job after recently been handed extra responsibility by the Premier League outfit to manage a newly created development squad at Loftus Road.

A report in the Sunday People claimed Forest would have given Bircham the task of developing young talent for their first team as well as the recruitment of new players.

Looks Mick Mcarthy is the Manager of choice - after getting a public ticking off for tapping up Ferguson

http://www.forest.vitalfootball.co.uk/article.asp?a=286655

Reports suggested last weekend, that Paladini had approached Peterborough manager Darren Ferguson, with the offer of becoming the next manager at Forest. The fallout from that news, has now seen Paladini being linked with a move to bring former Wolves boss Mick McCarthy to the City Ground. Leeds United boss Neil Warnock has also been linked with Paladini, also with a view of becoming the next Forest boss and all this whilst Steve Cotterill is still the Forest manager

Won't be long before Billy D comes out of hiding and attempts to throw his hat in the ring, unfinished business and all that.

First signing Claude Davis £3.5m...

Hope not, he might actually be decent for them!! 'http://www.dcfcfans.co.uk/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/ph34r' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />

I still can't see Forest throwing money around like there is no tomorrow, but interested to wait and see.

So they are putting together a backroom staff, without the new manager having any say, and that manager won't be in charge of player aquisitions. Car crash waiting to happen 'http://www.dcfcfans.co.uk/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />

They are going to be linked with virtually every manager that is out of work, Warnock link because he's an old head, Ferguson because he is up and coming - or down and going with Peterbrough! The one thing I would be concerned about is having Gianni Paladini involved.
