apparently part of the deal is miles addison is going to Barnsley on a 6 month deal, this is so barnsley have time to find a decent replacement

Barnsley boss Keith Hill has raided former club Rochdale to agree deals to bring Scott Wiseman and Matty Done to Oakwell.

Hillhttp://static.lingospot.com/spot/image/spacer left Rochdalehttp://static.lingospot.com/spot/image/spacer to take charge at Barnsleyhttp://static.lingospot.com/spot/image/spacer at the start of the month and has now lined up a reunion with two of his old players.

Wisemanhttp://static.lingospot.com/spot/image/spacer will help to fill the void created by Jason Shackell'shttp://static.lingospot.com/spot/image/spacer impending departure to Derby County,http://static.lingospot.com/spot/image/spacerwhile Done only signed a new contract at Spotland last month.

I suggested that might be the case in another thread but everyone disagreed with me :)

As long as Addison comes back I'm ok with that. Although would prefer him to be here and cement a position.

Need midfielder and left back and cover for right back but we'll buy another two strikers before that making 5 strikers signed and 8 strikers in total.

Sounds a lot, but my prediction of a formation will include 3 in the team.

5+2=8!!!

Awesome, I'll call stockholm!

Now would be a good time to point out that it seems that Maguire is one of those 2 strikers to be signed. Also, Maguire and Ward seem to be here to play in an attacking role but not always as a striker, as Ward was played last season.

I think wilko meant 5 strikers signed + 2 strikers coming in +1 that we already have = 8 strikers

5+Davies+Cwyka+Ball = 8

Awesome!!!

Who should I call?

We've signed 3, we are in for 2 more making the 5 and the 3 on the books makes 8 - just in case you needed my working out.

Sorry, I misread your post. Also, Cwyka isn't a striker exactly, neither is Maguire for that matter. It's 8 if you're talking about players who can play as strikers, but how they'll actually be used and what they are best at is another story.

If we play 4-2-3-1 which seems likely or 4-3-3 there is only 3 players at the club able to play the top of that front 4(or 3) and that is Ball, Davies and Tyson you could even argue that Davies and Tyson are more suited to playing outwide in the front 4(or 3) also. I am not surprised we're still in for a striker, seems like Waggy could be that man, strong, quick and most of all technically good as in his first touch and especially his ability when given a chance, kid can finish!
