Andy Gray and Richard Keys gaff.

They made desparaging remarks about the female assistant referee on the game between wolves and liverpool. They remarked that she wouldnt know the offside rule and that the games gone mad as she will get a big decision wrong.

They didnt realise that this off air conversation was being recorded.

I have no gripe with this as it was a private conversation and shouldnt have been leaked.I couldnt care less who officiates matches as long as they can do the job.Keys and Gray shouldnt be sacked, that would be ridiculous. They also made comments about karren brady which has made her "blood boil". Good,im sick to death of seeing her on my tv and in my newspaper.

Obviously quite light hearted, otherwise they would have took it further, not knowing they were being recorded.

I can remember the comments towards Desailly by (forgot his name) a few years ago.

That was a hell of a lot worse than this.

always thought it was Makalele that the comment was about, but your right it was Desailly. Ron Atkinson was the one that said it

Just a load of fuss about nothing. These things go too far, it's just plain daft.

As has been said, it was a private conversation, it shouldn't have been aired.

I'm sure the woman lino knows the offside rule and if she is upset about what Keys and Gray have jokingly said between themselves then good luck to her during a match.

If you're going to play with the boys, you have to have a thick skin.

I don't like Karen Brady and haven't read what she's griping about so can't comment on her.

This is how I learnt it; ;)

You're in a shoe shop, second in the queue for the till. Behind the shop assistant on the till is a pair of shoes which you have seen and which you must have.

The female shopper in front of you has seen them also and is eyeing them with desire. Both of you have forgotten your purses.

It would be rude to push in front of the first woman if you had no money to pay for the shoes.

The shop assistant remains at the till waiting.

Your friend is trying on another pair of shoes at the back of the shop and sees your dilemma.

She prepares to throw her purse to you.

If she does so, you can catch the purse, then walk round the other shopper and buy the shoes!

At a pinch she could throw the purse ahead of the other shopper and "whilst it is in flight" you could nip around the other shopper, catch the purse and buy the shoes!

BUT, you must always remember that until the purse has "actually been thrown", it would be plain wrong for you to be in front of the other shopper and you would be OFFSIDE!

Mrs Peschisolido is surely having a larf with her moralising. She is employed by people who made their fortune in the industry.

Having said that Andy Gray is possibly the most punchable person on tv.

It is a complete disgrace what they said, the pair of cavemen need dumping off the show, i don't care about it being a "private conversation" all that shows is their true colours...

And as my learned friend has said, Andy Gray is most definately the most punchable person on TV, get him and keys off our screen, and while you are at it can we dump Jamie Redknapp too..please.

I completely agree, particularly with comment about Andy Gray, he must be the most annoying git on television.

I always switch the sound off when he's commentating.

For me, it's Keys who is the most punchable bloke on the telly and I've thought this for some time.

What I find interesting is that this was actually made public. I've read Keys is a particularly nasty piece of work and not easy to work with, is this someone's revenge for being on the receiving end of Key's delusion of granduer ?

Personally, I think we're due for a change at Sky on the presenting front, they've been there the best part of 20 years and they have got stale, the trouble is they think they are fireproof.

Sky were quick enough to get rid of Rodney Marsh when he made that Beckham/tsunami joke, this would be an ideal opportunity to freshen things up and out the two dinosaurs, Keys wasn't having a joke, he was deadly serious.

Yeah, you might just be right, Keys really is quite punchable himself.

Get them both off TV.

Well I've just read the whole transcript, which puts it in a different light. On the news this morning, they just said that they were talking about teaching her the offside rule - the transcript however, shows it to be a lot nastier than that.

ETA: nice to know she got it spot on and Gray was wrong.
