Ambitious
I was just wondering where the best places to eat in Derby were, I'm looking to take the missus out for new years and looked at dovecote where I went last year and it would of cost me around 150+ for the both of us, now I like a good meal as much as the next guy, but jesus! I'm looking somewhere around 25-30 per head, any ideas would be nice. I know there is a few places down friar gate, but not been down there much! cheers guys! Perky1106
I reckon a lot of places will be booked up. But try ringing them up in case anyone cancels or you could take a gamble and see if it's less than a half hour wait.
uttoxram75
Try the Thai stall in Eat Central in Westfield (2 for £10), then spend the evening drinking instead.....simples! Go on, spoil her!

uttoxram75
You little tinker you. We once played what we thought would be an hilarious joke on a naive mate who we were meeting in Mancland for a match once. Remember the Blue Oyster club in Police Academy? Well 7 or 8 of us got spotted hiding down the road from this bar in Canal Street by an inquisitive Police Officer. He was convinced we were up to no good and was about to call for back up when our mate appeared rather sharpish from the bowels (so to speak), of this gay bar. We were followed round Manchester by plod for the rest of the day as they were convinced we were out for a bit of gay bashing.

RamNut
I've never been able to find a decent restaurant in Derby but then I've only been looking for 30 years. And I usually don't go in just in case it really is crap. River Garden Chinese Belper?
