Shipley Ram
They may have got things right on the pitch recently but this seems onimous , it gives me last days of Mel vibes. Owner no longer putting cash in and just borrowing it, until the credit runs out. I'm not bothered if they get points deduction and relegation but I really hope thay don't have to go through the insolvency s****. https://www.theguardian.com/football/2024/apr/30/everton-call-in-insolvency-restructuring-advisers-777-takeover-doubt RadioactiveWaste

I'm fairly ambivelant about Everton but I never want to see clubs heading towards insolvancy.

We the fans were happy to watch the club's owner spend large amounts of money, in their clammer for success, with no thought of the mounting debts the club were incurring. Wrongly or rightly I'm assuming most fans now realise that we will no longer be spending money we don't have. That the players the fans think we should be trying to sign may be very different to the players we can afford. Meaning we will need to be patience with the Warne or any future manager, over the speed they can assemble a squad capable of challenging for promotion. But if Jeff Bezos wants to turn us into Team Amazon. Forget all of the above and spend, spend spend. archram

Most of the debt belongs to Moshiri himself through Blue Sky which is registered as a company in the Isle of Man. No tax and very unfriendly creditor reimbursement in insolvency. Law will change sometime in 24-25 tax year quite possibly. Wonder why the current panic. Let's hope all those 100% payment screamers who wet their knickers over us send some grief their way if it happens as the cost written off will make ours a piss in the ocean. Pretty sure they had a 30 million loan from Metro Bank which would covered by the government- or you- in the event of the crap hitting the fan as it was loaned under Covid legislation.
