Even my lad and his lot like her Friday night sets so that's testament to her career longevity and relevance in a scene that is constantly evolving. Introduced me to lots of new music and certainly influenced my musical taste. I remember her championing lots of new music at the time... New Order, The Smiths, The Pet Shop Boys, Prefab Sprout, Soft Cell all stick in my memory. None of them typical pop stars. All a bit quirky in their own way.
