U2 (soundtracking my whole life until finally disappearing up themselves in recent years) ABBA (still innovating, the pop maestros creating the future of entertainment) Blondie (what teenage boy wouldn't?) Stone Roses (the best first album ever?) Oasis (Saved music for a little while, when it had been lost to Stock, Aitkin and Waterman) Honorable mentions to Portishead for turning music into high art, The Killers for some amazing nights before they were famous, REM for their free gig in Dundas Square and everything else, the Sugercubes for their uniqueness, and even Busted for what might have been until Charlie broke up the band.
